Gears PC: No Games Found?

I don't know if alot of people are having this same problem, but whenever I search for ranked games it says no games found. When I search live list games I manage to find one or two that are almost empty. WTH is going on? I have a Gold account from XBL that I am using. Is it because not alot of people have the game or because of something else?

Since GoW PC does not have dedicated servers, and there are few PC games that support windows LIVE, along with all the problems and bugs found in the PC version, don't expect much in the multiplayer department.

Most threads that have any sort of criticism towards Epic or M$ get locked or deleted. Basically, GoW is a game that lacks features and really was still in beta form, but they released it anyways.

The game has gotten good press, and is pretty fun when it works, but ultimately, there are so many game breaking bugs and few people ever host games. You can log on to Call of Duty 4 and see like 12000 servers. You log on to GoW and see 2 or 3.

You definitely wasted your money getting gold and it does not seem that Epic, M$ or People can Fly really care enough about the game to fix it right and add dedicated servers.

I don't think sales have been stellar, as both GoW and UT3 have gotten some bad word of mouth reports. The big thing is, the PC world is used to dedicated servers and this game does not offer them. Maybe when it hits the bargain bin in a few months we may find a few games to play. If you are looking for a robust multiplayer experience, you bought the wrong game though, sadly.

thanks for the relpy. i guess there just aren't alot of people playing this game. i have do disagree that it is an incomplete game. it's just a port with a few extra levels. they didn't optimize it for pc. sure, the controls are great, and theres some extra content, but pc gamers expect a great online experience up to par with games like ETQW and COD4. Epic could have easily made this game amazingly good online with a few simple adjustments.

its a shame too, because i was really looking forward to making some custom maps for this game. it was one of the reasons i bought it. but whats the point if no one can play them? :confused:

mmh, sorry guys, but i hate those statements.
Why is this game in beta status??? Pimp your drivers and this games runs very good. I encountered nearly zero bugs, so what?
Plus the so called "host advantage" isnt a great advantage.
The game is one of the better console ports. Every time i log in i get up to 16 servers on. I had never problems finding a server to play on with good pings.
I dont see ur problems. When u arent able to manage the game dont blame epic or microsoft. Install the patch and have fun!

I`m sorry DiAi but I cannot agree with you about the multiplayer issue mate. I 100% agree with KyRoS that 3 games (hell, even 16 like you wrote) are nothing compared to let`s say 12000 servers in CoD:MW.

I mean that what I was expecting of this game (multiplayer-wise) was the possibility to choose a server to play on from a number of dedicated servers instead of waiting for someone to host a game. Thing is that what was working good for the console is not working at all for PC, imo.

I don`t regret buying Gears of War for PC, it`s still a good game. It just needs adjusting dedicated servers in multiplayer imo.

Gears Of War PC is pretty active, dont know why everyone is complaining. i found 14 matches yesterday goin on, and most of them had 6/8 players in the match. im on there everynight along with at least 10 of the people from my friends list
