Here is the 1.0 final of my Zombie Head

Online play works, it seems that a new map needs to be started before all can see the model.

Most of the Headgear wont look good on him because his shape is much different from the normal heads and the head is more placed to the front.
I think he needs no Headgear, his beauty needs to be shown! ;)

I also put some Zombiefied Bots in the code, so you could play against a whole Zombie team.

Looks very nice. I just wish the UT3 custom character system was more user friendly and more open at the moment. We're all lookin' at you Epic...

Edit: You should do some zombie arms, becuase a lot of the human arms are visible.

I downloaded this last night and set all my bots to it while messing with all those wicked mutators for the first time. Awsome.Was cool with the bighead mutator. Also, there was one helmet that I thought looked really nice with it.

I copied and pasted the code into my ut ini, I can see the zombie name but it crashes when I click next to select armor :confused:

Never heard of such a problem, maybe you erased by accident some of the code in the ini.
You copied the code into your UTCustomChar.ini right?
Did it happen with Ironguard or the Ronin Zombie?

both of them . can I delete my ini so that UT3 will make a new one when I start the game up again ? also it doesnt have to be in any order does it, I can just put it into the code at the end ?

The code has to be under:
[UTGame.UTCustomChar_Data]
If you put it at the end of the whole code under [IniVersion] it could be the reason for the crash!
Dont know about UT creating a ini when you delete it.

The official Epic games stuff on what needs to be in the ini's before they are imported. i think if all the stuff in there is right then you can just hit the import button and away it goes.

I pasted the code in the INI and selected Iron Guard Zombie. Every time I go to character selection now screen or try to join / start a game the game crashes.

Put all the Parts code above the existing code but under the [UTGame.UTCustomChar_Data] header, and all the Characters code under the Parts code but before the other Character code

Epic really needs to bring some sort of INI code installer for mod makers so it's not such a ***** to manually do.

it can bee done but the creator has to download something to convert it to the ps3 format and if any thing is imported it wont work.

to conver it to ps3 all you have to do is follow the instructions on the UDN website (http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/PS3Mods.html#Character%20piece%20mods%20(_UTCustom Char.ini):) and it should work if you cook it up

no it will not. I already cooked the xan and disaster models and u can not change the head at the moment. At least not with the UDN infos. SOrry

I'm having some issues making this work.
First off I'm running Vista.
When I try to add the code to C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\DefaultCustomChar it opens with notepad
Then I paste it under [UTGame.UTCustomChar_Data] When I try to exit and save I get

" Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\DefaultCustomChar.ini file Make sure the path and filename are correct"

Then the save as screen pops up I click save and the same message pops up.What am i doing wrong?

apparently there is a bug in the editor when you try to cook over models that screws with the head not showing. hopefully they will release an update to fix that soon.

no ... when custom models work on the PS3 you and everyone else will definitely know about it. Every site on the net that has something to do with the Unreal Universe will post news about it and you can bet I will be cooking every model the devs of those models allow me to cook so be patient like the rest of us with PS3s (yes I want these characters as well ... the regular characters are just lame imo ... when you can play as Gears characters, Mutant rodents, Crysis characters, etc. why on earth would you want to be a member of the Iron Guard or Ronin?) ... the day will come when Epic releases the first PS3 patch I am certain of that.

well as it turns out these models have been cooked without permission and can be found on the net. Its not that Davision minds because we had talked about and at some point I was going to cook these but its just that people have to learn that it is not okay to cook someone's work and then post it publicly without their knowledge. That even looks sneaky and just plain wrong. If you want Davision to share his work with PS3 users ask first and then let him know about it so that he can post the links to HIS work on his thread. Repeatedly cooking content without permission or even a mention that you have do so and that anyone can download it is just plain wrong and it has been stated by Mark Rein this is something Epic greatly frowns upon. Just follow the rules of the community that is all I am saying. I cook a lot of stuff the PS3 but I ALWAYS make sure it is okay to share the content before posting links or I just send the links to the mod author and let him post the links. This system has been determined to work best for the community and still ensures that PS3 gamers get great content (since I game more and more on my PS3 I definitely do my part to see to that).

AARG! When I try to edit the ini it won't let me save! It says that it cannot create the file and asks me to make sure the path is correct. Well it is, so nyeh.
