It's ok. What would be the objective of this map? I'm thinking that the player will spawn inside the building and a swarm of locusts will surround it. It would be like a suicide survival, where the player is backed in a corner with no option but to fight it out and hopefully survive the barrage of attack. Well, just my thought. lol

It looks like you've got a good amount of detailing and decorating to do, but you're definitely off to a good start.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but this is not a single player map which is why you might have thought that, those were early screens i know, and may have been a bit confusing. I'm sorry. If you look now, you should see some new items taking place so I hope that answers your question. If that didn't there will be NO locus NPC's and NO suicide survival gameplay here. If that's what you were looking for, I'm sorry, but if it wasn't, I hope this pleases you.

I have to say that the buildings on the sides look way too repetitive and uninteresting. Add small sections of the building that jut out a bit to both add variety and to also add some extra cover. Where's the door to the building? Add some stairs and a door, which can also double as a coverpoint as well. If you're up to doing a lot more work, maybe you could have a destroyed section of the building as well, to both add eye candy and to break up the action.

After 2 hours of work, I developed some really neat things that I think you all will enjoy, posting screens tomorrow. *Yawn*. But for now, sleep time.

mmm, too bad your thoughts are ghey.

The map looks good, but I'd change the sky color. It looks un-gears..ly.

The sky doesn't seem to be the problem, but your map really fells like it's lacking a visual identity. It would really benefit from some colored lighting and postprocessor effects. The colored lighting doesn't have to be drastic or anything. Even something subtle will still go a long way in unifying all of the meshes and geometry in your map under a similar mood. You may end up needing to change the sky if it doesn't match the color of the lighting though.

Don't get me wrong. I think you've made excellent progress and the map looks great, but I will always have something to criticize. It's just the way I am.

Well that helps a lot. I knew i lacked some unique visuals, I was shooting for a basic map that is still fun to play...Keep in mind this is only a beta (lol) and of course the final result will look more epic. Thanks for the post processing idea, i'll read up on that when i get my editor to work again.

looks really good but ive got onetip if you could more static meshes on the roofs of the buildings because it looks to squary (if you get what im saying lol) but once you get all the little things like that out the way this map should be great

New computer got here 2 weeks ago (Dell xps 720 duall 8800gt's and 3.3 extreme) :D I was just too lazy to tell anyone. But I'm gettin back into the editor deal, and have got some great ideas, check back, keep up the comments, and yes this does have a gridlock theme to it, but with a mirrored look almost.

Alright everyone. Finally got a great DOF mixed with an awesome height fog to present an amazing unique aspect to my map. Tweaking things to keep a high framerate for you people and finishing up cover and ideas. Expect a more polished release at the end of this week!
