Yes another noob story but you should like it:
Question: how you play a Windows Live game in a country where Windows Live is not supported? After several cracking and .INI editing methods I have found this game working just to get a message that I can't save the game without a working Windows Live account. Well guess what: I could NOT install manually the patch because blablabla some version mismatch altho the name is the same.
(This lame message was only seen by me when trying to applying the 1.1 patch to the Riddick EFBB game's Director's Cut version.)
Ouch. Now the funny part: Windows Live is NOT available in my country altho it DID and COULD install the patch!! No Live available here but it CAN download and install a patch for my GoW copy?! Yippee GoW v1.1 but still no place to save my games witjhout Live which only works when you need v1.1...
Big... LOL... A very big LOL, also not to mention the dubs created by CDprojekt sucks and in my country we have two choices: dubbed version or no version to buy at all. In UT3 manually editing language was okay but GoW is totally screwed (not to mention other CDproject games). WTH is going on with PC gaming lately in this godforbidden counry?! :(
I'd LOVE to get some hints and tips - except the ones telling me to break my copy in half and flush it on the toilet altho chances of that happening ARE RISING FAST
End of noob agony. This game is sodomising me now altho I was looking forward to playing it on the PC so badly. I also don't expect this gone into the right forum direction but as I have mentioned above, noob story this is.
Weeeell atleast UT3 won't crash every 10 minutes after applying the Vista hotfix that the GoW patching screen kept advertising. Boohoo. :p
Help or flaming appreciated - either should make me smile, right? :)
