Compatibility: UT3 patch 1.1 - there is updated Second Edition version to celebrate awesomeness of titan pack.
Description: Small duel map, remake of old UT99 one. This new version has: fixed bot support. A bit more eyecandy on floor in main room, loud doors to help position enemy in duels, some emiters.

how does this already have 5 stars with only two comments? I haven't played it but I feel like giving it a 2 just so it can earn its way to a 5...but that would be spiteful to do before I even try it.
Edit: tried it out and enjoy the general feel. I think the size can definitely be appropriate for 2v2 as well so thats good.
Great map! But could you remove the [NAW] from the name? Map voting doesn't recognize the [NAW], thus unplayable online :(

I like this small map a lot more than I like all the various Gaelesque levels ... no offense to the authors but it is nice to have a small space ship/station/techno map that has a different layout yet is still definitely a 1on1 map with some added z-axis. I really like the look of the map and the way you used the assets that came with UT3 to make a very convincing little space ship. Bot work is good ... no issues like on Dead Simple. I would rather the Beserk powerup be in a place the bots can access it as well as me ... the middle of the hallway seems like it would have made a better place but it is not that big of an issue. The imprisoned Necris, Malcolm Bio holoplaque, holo planet, and the colorful signs in the main area really add some nice eye candy to this level. Definitely a keeper ... good job.

There is no difference. They could "go" whatever you want. Game searches all dirs anyway. I store em all in custom maps.
And anyway, UPK is not for localization folder. Its for some kind of data folder(cos i dunno if there are textures or models)

I don't think the bot work is good, I've seen (Godlike) bots get stuck in corridors extremely often. I can make a video if you don't believe me. Try to improve the bot paths, something is wrong there. Apart from that, the map looks amazing and plays extremely well, good work there.

Just make some pictures so I can see exactly where they are getting stuck. I need to know exact spots, sometimes there is tiny collision mismatch and that may get them stuck. And Epic did something wrong to AI, bots sometimes are getting "shortcuts" thought solid geometry or jumping a bit too early, etc. On this map they were notorious for going under ramps instead on top of them.

Sorry for double posting, it appears that the bots constantly got stuck absolutely everywhere on Elimination only, when there are no pickups available. I have however found a spot where the bot stops in DM, here it is:

I really like this map ... it has great atmosphere and just seems so perfect for a nice 1v1 battle and it looks good too (which I really like) so thanks for updating it. :)

I don't think those links have the proper update. It looks like this is exactly the same map ... same problem I had with DeadSimple. Can you repost the link to the correct updated map in the body of your reply to me as well as make it more separate from the other old links?
Edit: Yep ... the files are dates 12/16 so this is the old map. :(

Look I wrote that at beginning and next to DL links. Sorry I fell asleep yesterday and did not made published versions. Hopefully bots will not bore me to death tonight so I manage to publish and upload new versions. Yes I fell asleep during bot debugging.
So once more: wait with downloading, I will update first posts and clearly write that there are new improved versions.

That's a problem with Elimination, not the map :). I think I have a fix and hope to release a new version today or tomorrow.

added some quite loud doors to help positioning enemy in duels
totally new bot pathing, but bots love to get stuck near 2 pickups or just beetwen 2 random nodes, blame Epic for it not me.

Please, when you do a new version, update the tittle with "update" and new number version 1.1 (for example).
It's hard to see you update your map, if you don't do that, i think.

Nice update ... the bots now go for the Berserk powerup ... and the graphics are even a bit better and nice addition with the door sound. I enjoy playing this one on one map and I am not even that big of a 1v1 fan.

Great map for 2 vs 2 TDM and its nice to see a colourful map for UT3 that still looks next gen. Will download the updated version tonight :)

Thanks, really like the map. Could you do us server admins who use the free public redirect a favor and change the name slightly like add a v1.1 to the name so it can be uploaded to the redirect? I would really appreciate it for this and your other map DM-DeadSimple[NAW] :D

Re : change archive number when you do a new version, but not the names of (.upk, . ini, .ut3), it's more easy when we upload on server, because epic don't do a webadmin (!!!!!!!!) and we do put all map name in utgame.ini
If you don't change them, we just to replace them (not rename them or change name on ini). :=)

No they are almost exactly same maps, I just renamed them to proper admin friendly name. Because "[NAW]" was making trouble for map vote and redirect download. So I renamed them and cooked/published again, no differences in map, but recooking made different binary file. From now on i stick to this name convention: DM-Map-NAW-v100 etc. Sorry for mess.

Are you supposed to be able to hide in the boxes near the rocket launcher? Someone on my server stumbled across it yesterday that you can hide inside of them. Also, the door in the flak room by the freaky chick in the capsule is annoying, going open and shut everytime you walk by, especially when you can't go inside

I like the map a lot. The only 'issue' I had is the ramp up to the armor is hard to get up on from the side due to the way the plates are layered. Not a big deal.
I like that it has all the sounds, even the annoying door. It keeps you on your toes trying to filter out the important sounds from the ambiance sounds.
Did I just not find the goo gun, or did you leave it out deliberately?

No you are not supposed to go there inside, I was quite sure it is impossible to go inside without translok, so i left original boxes collision.
Those doors are loud and annoying as result for one reason: this is duel map and both loud door in corridors should help localize enemy.
As to weapons: this is remake of UT99 map, original did not had flak nor berserk. So adding bio to that list would make quite different map.
And as to cooking:
I do not mind somebody recooking my maps, if there is no mess with naming done, ie CTF-ThornsNEC is recooked as CTF-ThornsNEC not as CTF-Thorns (somebody just did it) , this can cause havoc.
And because when you recook from cooked version sometimes textures and meshes are missing. So PM me and I send unpublished version, we can also discuss name of PS3 version. Also I would like to fix some bugs first.
I wanted to release all my maps as beta for PS3 this weekend but nasty flu delayed everything.

Good news PS3 gamers ... I was able to successfully cook this map for the PS3 and it came out perfectly. I have emailed Nawrot the link to the file and he will update this thread with it and soon you will have yet another really nice 1v1 map perfect for duel or even 2v2 tdms (though the action gets frantic).

This is actually one of the best maps I've ever played...

I found a bug. You canīt shoot through the crates on the center in your 5th preview screenshoot (on page 1 ^^), but you can walk straight through them.
Plz fix, I love this map. ^.< !

I think this map is great on PS3. It's a great, unique space. I don't have any complaints, and I really had fun on this map with a few of my online friends last night on this map, 3 vs.3. Great layout, and item placement. The one question I have though, basically I want to know if this was done on purpose....why does that scanner thing scream out in pain, in a female voice, when you shoot it with stronger weapons?

Oh, all I can say is LOL.
Let me explain:
I do not own PS3 so I could not test that map for PS3, and there is almost no real feedback on beta forums besides "looks great", "too dark" etc.
This scanner thingy is missing some necris girl screaming inside every time you shoot her. But apparently all is left in ps3 version is trigger to play sound every time you shoot it. Just look at judith pictures from PC, there is that necris in tube.

And as to fixed bugs, maybe someday I fix all those minor bugs in my maps, but there need to be reason for release them all again. So maybe when I buy PS3 for myslef (and test them), or when Xbox gets UT3, or maybe when mapriader comes back from death.

Ahhh, that makes sense now. I thought it was haunted or something. Anyway, I'm sorry your not getting much feedback. It seems like people give alot of feedback, but obviously not if you're having a problem. I know not alot of betas are put out on PS3, usually PS3 versions don't get cooked until later in many cases (which, no offense to modders, I think is a mistake, with the things that usually end up need tweaks here and there on PS3). I know I try to give all the feedback I can, but i'm handicapped, in a figurative sense. I don't have a PC to download, so I can only download raw USERDATA.JAMs. But I'm gonna buy a cheap laptop soon, so I can start getting maps as soon as they get released. So as soon as I do, I know I'LL be giving out ALOT more feedback, ALOT earlier than I am now. And I'll be doing it on all PS3 maps. So I'll be alot more usefull soon.

I played this map on my PS3 and really enjoyed it. Great design choices. Very Neo Tokyo in outer space. Thanks for sharing!

good 1on1 layout with decent gameplay and very good visuals; I like the Necris woman prisoner, monitors, banners, floor lights, inscriptions, reddish ceilings and outside space scene with spinning gyro and honeycomb forcefield; interest berserk location and other opening doors; bots are definitely slightly easy, but still can be tough at times.
