it seems like there are not criticisms and yet the map only got an average rating...o well i guess i will have to try it out myself.

Edit: so can anyone tell me if this is a better or worse remake than the other already on the site? lighting looks better on this one, but haven't played so idk

the GaelClassic remake is more an copy of the old Gael, without any UnrealEngine3 effects, much better on older PCs, but if you want to have the UT3 feeling, i think you should play this version

Gael_Classic:

- very very bad lighting
- no shadows
- low poly models
- without any bumpmaps or nice ut3 shader
- only basic ut2004 details

but as i said >>much better on older PCs<<

some incredible changes on texturing, decoration, postprocessing, lighting
also the gameplay has been improved:)

Won't work. Unpacked it and 4 files appeared, while there should be just one single file (USERDATA.JAM).

Sorry dude, you did not cook it right. There are 4 files in the zip. There should only be one , userdata.jam in the correct directory tree. Hope you figure it out, map looks cool.

The first time u cooked it it didn't work because u forgot to include the ini and u forgot to package the ps3 files.

The one that megahassi posted definitely works.

Warric like I was saying in another thread something about this process seems to mess with my USB drive. It could be happening to other people too. If it keeps telling you No Data Found then you might want to format your USB drive.

Works great on the PS3 and looks awesome. The second link you posted needs to be added to the OP and also it is EU format that is cool but also make a US version for people that download directly from here.

Weird name but fun map. I generally dislike maps which limit the weapon choices, but the Rocket Launcher and Sniper fit really well for this kind of map. Works great on the PS3, and the music choice is superb.;)

Yeah, fine...I'm still looking at redoing Galacticus Prime, and putting my focus on that map instead.

I've played through this one, tho. I honestly love this version of Gael and all, and hope that it'll get a lot of hits. Congrats, anyway.

LOL, yeah, I didn't say that it would stop me from making it altogether...however, I decided to remake Gael for *cough*Quake 3 Arena*cough*. Man, I can't believe I said that in the UT3 forums. I'm all embarrassed now.
Don't start calling me a traitor, or another "LeBron James" of the FPS multiplayer world, but...hey, they need a lot of support for that franchise, too. I'll just make mine DM-Q3DMGael, no problem bringing a Q3A themed version of Gael here.
