GameTypes: All Instant Action and Multiplayer games

Description: This is a small mutator that gives out bonuses for first blood, all the different killingSprees and all the Multi kills.
Bonuses incude damage, movement(speed, agility ect.), health, and Armor.


Features:

FirstBlood: Your weapon damage increases by 45% of it's current amount.

DoubleKill: Your weapon damage increases by 10% of it's current amount.

MultiKill: Your weapon damage and your movement top speed increases by 15% of it's current amount.

MegaKill: Your weapon damage and your movement acceleration increases by 15% of it's current amount.

(so you reach your top speed faster)

UltraKill: Your weapon damage and your agility increases by 20% of it's current amount.

MonsterKill: Your weapon damage and your armor increases by 25% of it's current amount.

KillingSpree: Your movement top speed and your acceleration increases by 15% of it's current amount.

Rampage: Your weapon damage and your agility increases by 15% of it's current amount.

Dominating: Your Full Health capacity which is the maximum amount you can reach using Health vials

(199 in the normat UT3) increases by 50% of it's current amount.

Unstoppable: Your Normal Health capacity which is the maximum amount you can reach using normal

Health pickups (100 in the normal UT3) increases by 50% of it's current amount.

Godlike: Your armor increases by 30% of it's current amount.

Massacre: Your damage, Movement, acceleration and agility increases by 30%.

iv always been thinking a similar idea, but never got around to it. i LIKE.

now all you need is a version 2, with bonuses for things like Headshot, Headhunter, Blue Streak, etc ;P

Are these bonus' permanent or are they timed like normal powerups? In other words, when you get 10% more weapon damage do you have that for the remainder of the game or for a certain time?

And assuming it stays till the game is over, do they keep adding more every time you get say for example a double kill? In other words, if you get a double kill and get 10% more weapon damage, do you then have 20% better weapon damage is you get a second double kill? If so, where does it end? I mean, if you get 30 double kills would you then have 300% iincrease in WD?

One last Q......do these also apply to bots or only the player?

that mutator rocks, i just dislike the name in CAPS in the mutators list.

Got it working.

Okay, this is a really sweet mutator. My only problem is how the bonuses just go up in smoke as soon as you die, I'd be nice to see a system like how powerups are dropped when the user dies or has it knocked off. Just add some custom ones and when a guy dies you pick it up and get the message on what it contains, though these 'powerups' would go away a tad faster than a dropped powerup so as to balance it a bit, and you could knock them off players as well, that'd be neat.

This whole above thing would be a cool addition option (if it becomes and option, you'll need to make a UI menu for configuring it,).

Seems like some do NOT go away when you die. At least thats what it seemed like when i was playing a vctf map today. I died but was still able somehow to accumulate 260 health points which should only go to 199 max. So it seemed like my ability to keep picking up health past 199 stayed after i had died.

One possible bug i may have found. I could be wrong, but the announcements, which are already in WAY short supply even when set to "full", seemed to have all but disappeared. Could be wrong, but i swear i was getting no announcements at all that i recall.

I dunno if this is a bug, but when your in a vehicle the bonuses do not apply.

WOW sorry i missed all the questions. I'll try to answer them now.


Quick question, how do you install mutators?
Well it seems you've already solved that one but I'll still answer it for anyone else who's having problems. For my mutator you just take the three folders Published, Localization and Config (which can be found inside the zipfile for my mutator) and place them in:

My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame

This folder is normally found in your My Documents folder.
When you paste it there, if you already have those three folders there it will ask you to overwrite the folders. Don't be alarmed, doing that will only add my files to the files you already have in it. It won't remove whatever other files you have there.



what's agility?
Agility is mainly your air-based movement. Meaning your dodge distance, dodge speed, jump height and air control.

The Bonuses will last as long as you can stay alive. They end when you die. Also you can only get them once per life. Meaning, even though you may get more than one 'doublekill before you die, you will only get the double kill bonus of 10% weapon damage once (on the first double kill). The different awards do stack together though, meaning, the doublekill bonus will stack with the multikill bonus etc.

When you die you will lose all the bonuses and when you re-spawn you'll have to stack them again. So you can get the bonus more than once per match but only once per life. The only Bonus you can't get more than once in a match is 'First Blood Bonus' of course.


I'd be nice to see a system like how powerups are dropped when the user dies or has it knocked off.

This is a sweet idea for mutator.. tho it definitely needs a way to be disabled in vCTF.... any n00b can fly around with a manta or goliath and get unstoppable. We don't need these n00bs getting credit for that.

Another thing, if your in a vehicle, you won't get the bonus no matter how many multi kills you get.

Hehe, would be neat if the bonuses worked for vehicles, then you could in theory have a faster Goliath chasing you.

You should include a snippet to admins to setup their server with ?mutator=Massaccre.MutRush

Actually after testing, this mut is not working online.

Love this mutator, got the beta but wasnt regged to give feedback *blush. So here it is late but at least done. If you do an update I'd like to see the messages from the mutator moved to the top or bottom of the screen. Or even better a UI to allow the player to choose where to put it, if it is possible. Im just finding I dont use it anymore because I find that between the UT3 kill messages and the mutator bonus messages, any advantage is wiped out by a temporary bonus blindness. The middle of the screen where the action is becomes way too busy and it is hard to pick out the bot who is picking you off from a distance. Just my two bobs worth. Thank you very much for sharing your work and kudos to you for this fun mut.

On the PS3 seems to work fine in Instant Action, but does not work online. Messages do not come up.

Hi all, I'm still around just not as much as before. Got some urgent matters I'm trying to handle. thanks for all the good feedback on my mutator. There will be much more from me.
For those who are familliar with my Soul's fury mod for UT2004, they would know this is just a small part of my prior work. I'm currently working on the cooking of the mutator for ps3 and also trying to make some changes to it to incorporate the feature everyone has been requesting. The problem is I'm really short on time so it's going abit slow. Hope i can finish soon. Also working on bringing back the species statistics mutator, not the one that came with ut2004 but the updated one i did for Soul's fury. Most of my prior work is based around the unique character species i did for that mod so this is necessary for my other mutators and other than that I just loved playing with and agains characters that don't only look different but also have different stats like the species stats mutator brings to the game.

King, the mutator was cooked thanks to Dark (However you spell his name), but I hear some problems online take the fun away. But I still use this on all of my Instant action battles, its a ton of fun.

Just also wanted to say that I thought of an idea that I bent from yours, and thought maybe you wanted to check This (http://gearsforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=597943) out. Right now I got no feedback from this (Seen how it pretty much quickly jumped to the 2nd page)

I noticed a possible conflict with Slow Time Kill; if your mod comes before STK in the mutators list, SKT won't work, so you have to make sure STK is first to have both.

sorry that i renew this old article but i have a question:

i recognized that this mutator doesnt work for vehicles... i dont know if the developer of this mutator is still active in the forum but is there a possibility to get the mutator also for work in warfare and vctf?
any ideas how to change this?
