Hello, I'm having a very annoying issue with my mouse and am not sure where to start to troubleshoot it. Here are my system specs:

WinXP Pro x64
EVGA 680i SLI mobo
C2D E6550 2.3GHz 1333MHz FSB
4Gb 800MHz DDR2
SATA2 320Gb 7200.10 HDD
Dual EVGA 8800GTS 640Mb GPUs
X-Fi Fatality Elite
Antec 850w PSU
Antec 900 series case
Saitek Eclipse keyboard
Razer Copperhead
Viewsonic G220fb 21" CRT

Here is the issue:

At random times while playing UT3 (both the beta demo and retail) I experience a problem where my directional key (right/left) gets locked and thus forces my toon to slowly pivot around. The only thing I've found that remedies it is to hit Esc out to menu and then Esc again to get back in game.

It seems to happen most often when I am rapidly pushing a directional key to dodge then jump and attempt to switch weapons in midair. It also happens a lot when I switch from Translocator to a weapon in midair while attempting to move to one side or the other with a directional key.

I have my weapons bound to Numpad keys that are then bound to my Razer Copperhead buttons. This is the same setup I use in UT2k4 and I've never experienced this issue in that game or any other one I've ever played.

My OS, drivers, firmware and directx 9.0c are all patched up to the most current versions. I have also applied the x64 version of the mouse acceleration patch for WinXP.

I've gone through all of my settings and cant seem to find anything that would cause this although I may just be overlooking something obvious (I hope).

Can anyone suggest anything to look at and tweak in an attempt to troubleshoot this issue?

It has occurred to me that this might be a mouse driver/UE3 bug but noone else seems to be having this issue.

LOL, this is starting to drive me nuts!

Laters,

HoLo
