Well here is the first map that I have been doing all my UT3 editor testing on trying to get used to the new features.

It's just a basic arena map for those who like those kind of maps. I still have some adjustments to do like lighting and possibly moving the sniper rifle to a different spot and make a sniper perch somewhere.

I'm still not totally clear on where you are supposed to put the map file.

I guess you can put them in multiple places?

What folder should you put them in?


How can you tell what type of file a .upk file is?

Generally you can put everything mapwise in "C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps" for XP

or for vista "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps"
