When I play UT3 I get very poor FPS and sometimes it can freeze even when all setting are at lowest i am currently running :

Windows vista home premium
Intel Pentium dual CPU 2.80GHz
3GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7500 LE 512mb (256 dedicated)

I know that my current graphics card is terrible and its made for pre-built computers
So I was wondering if I upgraded my Graphics card to a- XFX 8600GT 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E Graphics Card it would make a difference , increase my FPS and make it better to play overall??
I cant really afford a much better card atm so please dont reccomend any other graphics cards to me.

Yeah i think the reason why im getting such poor FPS with my current Gcard is because you need at least directX9 for UT3 and the Gcard i got only has direct8 i think but im not too sure because its hard to find info about my Gcard since its made for pre built comps

These aren't your exact cards, but the ones in blue are pretty close so this chart should give you an idea of their relative performance in a BF 2142, which is a pretty similar game.

Wow thanks for that info it showed a lot , i think a 7300 GT is even better than 7500 LE (LE being low end not limited edition like i was hoping when i first got my comp lol)
Im a pro console gamer and new to PC gaming and so far not too happy with PC gaming so many troubles lol.Console gamin is as easy as buying the game putting it in and playing.

the ati 2600xt benches higher than the 8600gt and costs less. You should look into it. I believe it was covered in tom's best video cards for the money October. Might of been september.
