Nice job! Works great - thanks dude!
It's possible to delete the text after the killing message on the released version? Its too mutch to read for me, when I like to see, who has killed me ;-)

You plan on fixing the scope? Whenever I scope in I still see the rifle as I zoom. Other than that its a great rifle and I enjoyed using it. Felt a lot like ut99's

Does it have the option to disable annoying zoom screen and have just a simple crosshair and have an adjustable zoom speed?

It does have an adjustable zoom speed. The gun has a custom crosshair that takes up much less screen space as the default one. I plan on making a better one later since the one I have on this gun now is sort of hacky. My main goal right now was to create a crosshair that doesn't take up the entire screen and block your view.

Whoops, you're right. Thanks. I updated the zip file with the correct .ini file name.

Where does the folders "Classes" and "Sounds" go?

You don't have to do anything with those folders. They're just there if anyone wan't to modify the rifle further- everything in the Classes folder is the rifle source code. Just ignore then.

This is very damn cool! I just tried it but there seems to be a problem. When not in 'arena' you still start off with this sniper weapon in hand. Can you fix this?
Requests:
Is it possible for you to be able to add the use of the wheel for zooming in and out when in zoom mode? There was a custom sniper rifle in ut2k4 that did this and it really kicked ass!
And also, can you add an option for weapon sounds from default UT3 sniper to yours?
Overall, great mutator!

Sorry for the wait, I've been a bit busy the past few weeks. I was planning on doing some more work to the rifle this weekend. I will definetly look into putting the zoom control on the scroll wheel. Does anyone have a link to download the rifle you're talking about from UT 2k4?

Cool to see your gonna fix it up.
Hope to see it properly work well in non arena mode.
Here is the rifle that was made by spoon.
This rifle is soooo friggin' configurable that its just damn perfect!
I cant find the download for the sniper rifle, but if you'd like, PM me your e-mail and I can send you the mutator. He has alot of info in it as to how it works.

Howdy {dFb}eMac,
My UT2004 zark rifle mutator has such an option. I integrated porkmanii's ZoomMod v1.0 into my rifle giving it the ability to use the scroll-wheel to magnify or decrease magnification while already zoomed. I gave it some extra features such as being able to bind the zoommod to any key you want and adjusting the increments and speed of the zoom. The link below is my Master Copy of the IK-Leviathan-V1c. Unlike my public release, this version's animations, textures, and static meshes are all compiled into the .u file. It also has the classes extracted for you with a ton of scriptnotes. Hope this helps you out.

Ok, just for a heads-up from what I was able to do over the weekend:
- Add Mouse Wheel zoom with bMouseWheelZoom, setZoomRateWheel, and setZoomStepWheel.
- Added setMovingRifleDamage and setStillRifleDamage
- Added bStartWithRifle
- Added bShowTracer
- Added setWebsiteURL
I plan on working on it some more before I release anything- adding custom crosshairs, textures, sounds etc... I also did some work on the translocator (added translocator cam) I'll be adding credits for anyone who helped. Thanks!

If you need an uncooked SniperRifle package to use as a template, grab my new gun and use it's .upk file.

This is sorta what I'm looking for, I don't suppose I could trouble you to cook it for the ps3 so I could try it on that?

Thanks bunches.
It's a great rifle i've played online.
I wish I would have found this thread earlier.
I'd like to add to it. [EDIT: I think an option to string your own unique skin would be a great start.]

Nice rifle but I am having some wierd problems with it .... the fire rate changes on me constantly and just out of the blue without me setting anything. Like it will shoot like a submachine gun in one instance and then just stop and start shooting like a rifle with a fast reload, and then ere was one time where it seemed to be in a semi-automatic mode? I am totally baffled ... is this gun supposed to act like this? Does this have something to do with these:
setStillFireRate=0.1
setMovingFireRate=0.5
Thanks for any help.
Edit: Okay I see now that it was those values and I do understand how it works now ... very nice. I really like this weapon it is pretty cool. :)

Hey dfb ... check your pm when you get a chance please.

yes, that's what it has to do with. when you move it gets like that. set both number the same if you don't want the rate to change. smaller number = faster shot.
Also, if you see something in there about accuracy that might be effecting you to.

Emac,
Any update on the PS3 version of the mutator? I am ready to test, and I will host a server so others can test as well.
Pingfreak,
I had no luck in getting your Zark to work with the PS3. It doesn't show in weapon replacement for some reason. I'm wondering if they only ones that will work are the ones with code in them to eliminate the standard weapons etc.
Thanks for your works guys! Keep it up!
