I tried everything :( I cant get it to work. I even tried the method that was posted in another post regarding this. Cant somebody make a step to step guide from the importing to the picture showing in the game ?
Would really help me out.

Yeah, I tried the method in the other thread too, and I just get the preview pic of the map I had selected previously. Someone(or that one dude in that one thread.) please post a very specific step by step tutorial for adding a preview pic. I am suffering.

Bump, also where do you add the number of players for the map? so that it shows in-game (example: 2-4 Players)

In the world Info but that doesnt show up either I noticed. I think it coincides with the screenshot preview :(

To set the number of players for a map under the preview picture, just write in the .ini for the map:
NumPlayers=2 to 8 Players
For example :) But i still havent found out how to add the actuall picture...

Okay, let me show you guys the blanks we need filled.
AFAIK:
Make a new package (might work - or not - if you just add it to the map itself, didn't try yet).
^ Blank Number 1: What kind of package? Material?
Create a previewimage 512x256 and export it as DXT (DirectX Texture) - there's an exporter to DXT for PhotoShop on the nVidia homepage for download IIRC.
Import the DXT image into your package, and enter the path like "Images:<PackageName>.<GroupName>.<ImageName>" into the .INI.
^Blank Number 2: After you cook it? Save and edit the unpublished .ini?
So....
As I didn't get the editor to save the map propperly, including additional stuff I imported in, I made a seperate package....
Blank Number 3: Didn't save correctly? Did you forget to save the packages? Not entirely clear on this.

I was able to get the preview pic to work on my map. This is what I learned. To get the preview pic to work I had to use a "Texture" file and not a "Material" file. The preview pic I made was 1024 x 512 BMP 24 bit (It seems that various sizes are acceptible...my first test was a 1024 x 1024). I imported into "<MyPackage>" (name of the map so that no other files/packages are needed with map).
Also, I had to apply the image somewhere in the level/map so that the texture could be used for the preview.
I then "Cooked" to Publish my map and went into the newly created "Configuation" file (the Note Pad one with the gear on it) and added the Texture file of the preview image I made.
Just go to your "Texture" image of the picture and left click on it and hit the "Copy Referance" line, then go back into the "Configuration" file and highlight the default DM line and Past yours in and save.
I have had no luck with Discription or Player counts.
Hope this helps or clears up one or two things for you guys.
Good Luck!

Hey that is what the community is for ;) I will try your method for the picture later, ty for sharing it.
Btw i entered a disc. for my map, Created by Vertical #No Limit. This description shows as defualt under the discription tab in host game. Maybe its just what the default value is in the description tab when your map is created :)
