I posted this in the scripting section, but maybe it is better suited for this forum.
I am trying to change the sound on my weapon and need some help.
I need the basic steps of how to create a custom package(what name, group, etc. to use so I don't screw something up). I then can import the sound, but it looks like the calls in the program are to sound cues. How do I import the sound, then add a sound cue that calls it?
Thanks for any help on this or a link to a tutorial that will explain it!

I know how music is set and listen in editor;
maybe this can help you for a start;
1. Basicly you first import sound wav into editor -save in your package
(my package-group-sound-name of the sound)
editor will ask you if you want to be a sound cue-check that option-ok
2. go to package and open properites of your waw
(you'll see your imported wav and sound cue)
3. click on wav and expand properties
-editor will check compability or something like that
4.than open sound cue -you'll need to conect links between your
-wav -atenuation- and funny lookin' speaker.
5. (this is for music for your map) select generic and click -new-
from drop down menu choose (ut music) -ok
(save in group where is your wav and sound cue)
6. Expand in your package properties of your ut music icon
there you'll see a 5. diferent names under each oneyou'll see line-sound cue
-put your sound cue in it.
7. in editor find (world info) from drop down menus
find map info -expand-there you'll see;
map name...name of your map
map description... for your map
how many players...
dm-ctf ...
music or sound ambient(sorry I forgot)-there you put your ut music
8. Don't forget to save your package
9. place a reverb volume like you place a blocking volume in your map
( it is same colour like blockin volume)
10. build all -play in editor and you should hear your music playing:)
