Looking for peeps to play custom maps.

Hello.

Its seems to me that the system that has been implemented inorder for us to play custom maps is not a very good one. I.e. The maps have to be downloaded before hand by all parties, then when searching for games it simply labels the maps as custom map.

I would like to try and get a group of peeps togethar who are interested in playing new maps.
Seems to me that there are not many people that play gears for windows online full stop.
So please if you would like to play new maps on gears post your gamertag(s) so i can add you.

Well the reason i don't usually talk on my headset is that whenever i put my 360 headset in the controller slot

1. I must do so before i boot up gears of war or else no one can hear me.

2. Secondly, whenever i start up Gears with the headset in, i can hear the sounds of the game / music in the headset and people's voices at the same time in it. I really don't like this. Is there a way I can make it possible to have all the sounds / music coming out of the dang speakers instead of the headset?

Yeah I know of that. But when I mean these days I mean the last couple of years. It's the stupid new generation of kids. The way they spell words with the letter Z at the end instead of S. So instead of kids it would be kidz. I hate that. This is what I see on the Internet, "skool wuz so borin, lawl". I hate that. I'm thinking, what the hell is wrong with these people, can they not type properly? And I know they do this purposely, but why?

Yes you can have it the way you want. Hit HOME and goto Personal Settings/Preferences and Voice Settings. Set voice playback and voice recording to the xbox 360 headset. Exit the game. Goto Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices. Click on the "Audio" tab. Set your soundcard back to the default/primary sound device.

For some reason when you install the headset it takes over primary sound device duty and you hear music and sound effects and everything on your PC through it. But you can fix it like I described above.

However, I suggest you take a linguistics class and learn about how language has developed over the last few thousands of years. The nature of language is that it is always changing. People make the dictionaries, not the other way around. As for your dislike of improper English, you can laugh because people that don't learn otherwise should have difficulty getting a good job without it. As for your dislike of change, well that is a good philosophical question, whether life or the universe is always changing or is a cycle or is static... Should you be resigned to the fact that things will change even though you don't want them to? I think most would say you should try to accept the things you don't have control over. Or maybe you prefer to fight change the whole way through your life? Now we are entering into the field of psychology as well as philosophy... As for the latest generation, I hardly think they are that unique. The younger generation has been pissing off the older generation for thousands of years at the least. Were you blind to the things you did to annoy your elders when you were young? That is forgivable. Are you still blind today, at a ripe old age? That is not forgivable. Aristotle was on the record saying the younger generation was lousy, disrespectful etc 2500 years ago, and 2000 years before that someone else is on the record for having said the same thing. Yeah I see what you're saying. It's not really a change in language is it? I don't really mind people typing in that way but.... I don't know. I can accept change. I've never really had a problem with change only if it was for good reason. But when people mispell for just no damn reason, it's just....... ugh nevermind.
