I've had a look at the code surrounding it, but PulseTeamColor (the method in UTPlayerController to pulse HUD elements the colour of the team the player's just joined) seems to work entirely through Black Magic. It sets two variables - a pulsetimer and bPulseTeamColor in the controller... which are then never referenced elsewhere.
Unfortunately, if the player isn't on the red team, the HUD flashes blue... which annoyingly means that the green and gold teams have blue pulses.
Any ideas? :)
