Hello,
I downloaded the install package onto my windows server, I did it remotely through Remote Desktop Connection.
I then attempted to run the Setup file, and it hangs during the installation. Basically just sits there, I can't do anything... can't close it, can't restart the server.
I saw that there is a known issue with the windows firewall but I checked and mine is disabled. I tried this on a 2nd server and it did the same thing.
It worked when I tried installing on my PC though... any idea whats wrong?
Thanks

Did it complete the install and hang or did it hang part-way through? I've installed the dedicated server remotely using RDP and had no problems. Is it possible that you have a corrupt download? Or is there a hidden dialog box that you arent seeing that is waiting for your input? (obvious question, I know. Had to ask.)

They all do just let it get to where it goes blank then end the process with task manager, it will say installed sucessfully. War tourist posted about this.

Well it begins the install normally, but then about 1 or 2 minutes into it, it will disappear. It shows the install program is running on the task bar, but I can't maximize it, close it, or reboot the machine.
I believe I tried from 2 different download websites.
If there's a hidden dialogue box I wouldn't know... because it's hidden lol :)

What do you mean goes blank? The install window disappears and I can't maximize it or anything from the task bar.

Anyone know anything? We can't host the game because of this...
Any help from Epic Games staff? Do they have support here???

is a folder being created though with all the data in it? check ur c:\ drive for c:\program files\Unreal Tournament 3 (dedicated) to see if perhaps it actually did install.
