Ok i need a little help here i guess. I am a little confused as to what the .upk files are and if they are needed once i have published/cooked my map. They appear in my MyDocs...CookedPC folder one folder aboce my CustomMaps folder.
As i said i am not sure if these files are needed and why they are there. In the previous version of UED, textures, static meshes etc could all be saved in the MyLevel of the custom map. Does it still work that way or no?
Thanks.
Good point i would like to know the answer to that as well.

MyLevel no longer works (it works but will create separate Package/MyLevel.upk), in order to save all your stuff into the map (.ut3 file), you need to save your stuff in the package "MyMapName" (Ex: if your map = "DM-Test", you'll have to save your stuff into "DM-Test" package).

Well, I still don't know what "stuff" needs to go in a .upk file, but I know this much: I edited Floodgate (added nodes), saved the map, and was able to play it just fine without an extra .upk file.

As long as there stock textures ect, normally you dont need to do something like mylevel, but what happens when there not stock textures?

Ok thanks for the info!
btw anyone that didnt know, you can run more then 1 instance of UED which makes using stock textures, meshes etc easy. Simply open your map in one UED and a stock map like strident in the other. Then just do a simple copy/paste here.

Damn, I can't believe that I didn't try that. Thanks for the tip.
