Well thats what my Gameserver provider says anyway. :(

Is it a legitimate reason to not host a UT3 server?

I use a batch file to automatically start my server, and restart it in case it fails for some reason. No problems here. Here's a how-to: http://gearsforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=586810

I use FireDaemon and it automatically starts and runs as a service without any issues.

So is UT3 different than the previous in this regard since my Gameserver provider hosts all the other UT versions but not UT3?

I could rent another server but im stuck with this one for 6 Months :(

The way the server starts is the same... a command calls for UT3.exe to start as a server and from there, it loads whatever you tell it to.

you can use Dubious' batch file, which works just as well as anything else, or firedaemon... or you can use what I use, ServerDoc, which has a web interface to turn it on or off and edit the command line without having to log into the mahcine itself through RDP

Can you give me what you have in the serverdoc command line, I was under the impression it did not work with ut3 due to the extremely longer command lines. Thank you

UT3.exe starts the same as any other game. the problem with UT3 is that the control panel cannot auto generate the unique server ID required. Most hosting companies use TCADMIN for installation and client control panel.
