Looking solid, simple, uncluttered and multiple levels of approach in a straight map - you know what you're doing :)
I have a comment for the last screenshot you have there:
I'd recommend putting something to block the players from moving over the cliff - of course they won't fall, but it would be a nice touch to put something to line it and cut it off so as players aren't brushing into an invisible wall.
At the same time it shouldn't be high enough that it looks like it could be used as cover at any point; you have a nice sightline on the low catwalk going on there and you wouldn't want to screw anyone using the catwalk by giving players a coverpoint to attack it from.

Needs more cover, less open space, make so the enemy can come out of no where, more flanking routes.

I come from a ctf background so it may take awhile to break myself of that :P but I think it’ll be fun. There’s plenty of cover and room to maneuver.

I agree. So far I haven’t been able to find anything that looks right though. The chain link fence seems to be the best option, it's got height even when scaled down but I can remove the bullet collision realistically.

that last pick the cover looks a little limted, might be worth throwing those pillars ontop of some BSP to give it a ltitle more hight/cover for the players while still allowing them to fire over the top

I see your point. I want that side of the bridge to be open to flanking, but not completely indefensible. Right now the position could easily be routed.
Not sure about raising it but maybe a stack of loose sand bags.

Beta release is ready. Most everything is in place except for maybe a little more detail so I thought I’d release this and get any feedback that might be out there : )
It seems to work. I can select it and run it in the multiplayer menu but I don’t play MP so I can’t really test it much myself past that.
Install instructions: extract the .rar file to My Documents/My Games - I archived the file structure so it’ll do the rest.

Funny thing is, it's out...and it does play like one. Download it if you want, it's been out for more than a week, maybe 2. The firebridge map looks looked like it was very limited in cover and flanking routes, which is why I said it didn't look like it played like one.

Now that I've played it:
It's too dark, especially in the areas where you are going to do the most fighting in.
Area behind where you spawn is pretty useless for its size if all it is for is grenades an open flank route.
Water underneath the bridge is too bright, considering the map is dark, and has sunlight reflecting on it brightly even though there are gray clouds.
Some of your cover needs to be fixed; on objects you take cover at, where it ends on the left, you continue for some reason when you try to go left instead when you should be able to roll.
LOD issue, this is Epic's fault though.
Needs more color.

You should probably try and place the cover at more effective positions. I just played 1v1 with a guy for about 30 min on this map and the cover spots in this map are not thought out very well. The map looks good but is way too dark. Downstairs on the metal railing is kinda of pointless and is risky running down there since there is basically no cover.

Just by the screenshots, I don't think I will be downloading this map.
Nothing catches my eye about it. Playability doesn't look very friendly.
It also looks way too dark. It comes off as random to me.

Currently the lighting has been fixed, sounds have been added and I’m stripping down the cover system and rebuilding from scratch.
See if I can get it right this time ;)
Also I'm not sure if people are catching this but there are heavy weapons (sniper, grenade launcher) available on the lower levels. My thought was risk vs reward which is why there is limited cover. However they are hard to spot; trying to think of ways to change that but I will be adding cover to those levels regardless.

The map isn't bad. It just doesn't look like a Gears Map. It's pretty fun, but more cover is needed. Also more oppurtunities to flank and more reason to use the grenade would be fun.

Thanks. I’ve taken all the feedback into consideration and think I have a better handle on the cover system.
Lighting still seems dark in some of the screens but I’m still working at it.

When they are scaled down the holes become too small. The odd round might make it through, but it would be a fluke and I have not seen it happen.
I originally had used the parking cones but any object that is full 3d, like the cones or sand bags, takes up too much space and really limits maneuvering room so I was forced to go with fencing.
I’ll probably end up attaching some of the burnt wood objects to make it look more believable, there are also the sheet metal roof objects that might work but I liked the shot : )

Gotta give you props. The map got MUCH, MUCH better. And just so you know, bullets CANNOT go through fences. I learned this through some 360 gears. Even try using a sniper, it won't work. Anyways, great job.

Thanks : ) I’ve spent a lot of time going over it, basically rebuilding the gameplay from scratch.
I should have the second beta up sometimes over the weekend or early next week.
A few more screens. Playing around with post processing, will probably end up toning it down just a bit and I’ve decided to cut the map in half. No point in mirroring it. I think they’ll be plenty of gameplay as is.
