I've looked every where, and while I have found some valuable information, I'm an artist not a coder, so some of it is lost on me.
What I need to know is how Unreal Script, and Kismet relate to each other. From what I have read on the UDN under the mods section for UT3 the samples for Unreal Script reads almost identical to Action Script 2.0 in Flash. While I'm sure they are vastly different, How different are they. My assumption is that Unreal Script is just more extensive with gaming in mind. As to where Action Script is more all encompassing. I know they are Both OOP, but that might not mean diddly squat.
Also how powerful is Kismet, some say it can do any thing. Others seem to disagree either fully, or just think there are faster ways. Lets say you wanted to work in a fixed character stats system that would effect turn based combat. Could you do it through Kismet using archetypes, or would it just be better to write the code?
I feel I have a pretty basic idea of whats going on, but I just have some grey areas I'm trying to fill in before I drop the $$ on a CE edition to start modding, as that is my only interest with the game, and if I buy it I really want those 3DBuzz VTM's.
Thank you to all, and any who reply!
