System is a quad core q6600 intel 2.4ghz
asus sli main board
2 gig corsair ram
2 - geforce 8800 gtx ultras sli ed together nvidia driver 7.15.11.6904 dated 10/28/07
windows vista ultimate
creative sound blaster x-fi xtreme audio
AVG free antivirus
Other games running fine - like Time Shift, Lost Planet, GOW, Halo2, Tomb Raider.
Installed UT3 and ran - started OK played some death match right after the install by checking play.
Then I decided to do some game setting changes like resolution, auto aim etc. After I made changes I stepped back thru the menus to the game and the sound went out.
I rebooted and the system sound was fine. Went back in the game again and played a death match - finished it. Then it must have started to crash as the next level screen came in and out a couple times. You could tell it was some kind of crash. I reset the computer.
Rebooted and am holding off on running again until we see if there are issues or corrections that can be made.
Is there any new nvidia 3d settings file that can be loaded - looking in my nvidia control panel I don't think I see a match for UT3 - I see ut2007 exe, ut2007 ut3 demo.exe, Ut2007 Utgame.exe???
Looking for a log but I don't see it - where would it be?
Any help would be appreciated.
