Hi all,
Are there different ports to open versus the Demo?
Using same setup as with Demo, we had to use console and enter "connect IP" to connect to hosted game as the server would never connect us?
Tried same with full version of game and we get the connecting screen, but then it says connection failed?

I have port 7777 opened in router, any others? How the heck do we connect to real IP behind linksys router?

EPIC, please help!!!

anyone else with input on how to connect to server behind linksys router?
thanx in advance...

I was unable to host a server that others can connect to with my Linksys router until I enabled the DMZ host. That essentially opens all ports, leaving your completely vulnerable, so if you do use it, then turn it off while you aren't hosting.

Tried DMZ, still can not host? They start to connect, then connection fails?
How the heck can I get someone connected to my server, when behind Linksys router?
It worked in the Demo why not now?
HELP!!!!

i dont think u can really expect epic to reply to a question about ur router. You could run a logger and see what port it accesses. or just google it's face off. it might also be in the config file

No, but they could atleast post a thread specifying the ports required to play behind a router. Heres something funny, I can not even connect to a local game via LAN that is running on my network? Same issue, says connecting then connection fails?

Something has changed since the Demo, I wish I could figure this out?

wow... why do they have to make hosting such a pain the ass....how is coop going to work with a router.... me and my friend have been waiting to play this game online then when coop was annouced we jumped for join and rejoiced. But... there is darkness lurking within Epic telling them blah blah blah lets make hosting a *****. with source its so easy when you forward ports it just works.... With the demo for ut3 when i forward port it say look what i can do... nothing!

I have forwarded correct ports, and even tried DMZ for my local IP, but NOTHING is working?! Others attempt to join my game via "open IP" command in console, and they get the game loading screen, then it craps out and says "connection failed" AAARGHHHHHHHHH!!! This procedure worked in the Demo just fine? WTH has changed since then? I bet it has to do with the stupid GameSpy! Why they conformed and used this crap is beyond me? When i first saw this in the Demo, I was quite dissapointed! UT has always been so 'plug and play' for MP and now it is a dissapointment!

EPIC PLEEEEEEEEEASE Help!!!!
