I enjoy quality motion blur, so I'm trying to achieve the same quality as is in Gears of War (or better).

This is for a mod I'm working on, however, you could apply it to UT3, as motion blur would do it well also.

Will post settings, etc. Shortly, here's the first picture. Tweaking the actor properties (i.e.-increasing the motion blur scale doesn't seem to be having an effect). I'll try other means.

The model is just a custom model I made.
Here are the settings (can get to this by going to the Generic Browser, go to the PostProcess, and browse there, I'm making a new chain.)

Cool idea, I would like to see some motion blur in this game.

You know whats funny is that the PS3 version has motion blur on by default, I'm curious if its to blend in the lack of fps it achieves.

I'm also curious as to why Gears of War on windows has motion blur and UT3 does not.

When happens the motion blur exactly?
When the player rotates the camera fast like on other games? Then the entire sreen would be blurring all time...

Motion blur in GoW happens everywhere, your character, gun fire, camera rotation. In UT3 I dont believe it uses any, at least not that I can see, other then the PS3 version has it for some reason.

What I think would be cool is adding more motion blur effects to vehicles, like how the Halo engine adds a motion blur to the Warthog's wheels when you get up to speed. They added motion blur to the Manta propellers, so why not the rest of the vehicles?

I mean, as it is right now, driving full speed in a Hellbender or Goliath at 60fps creates odd illusions on the wheels/treads, and makes them appear to actually move slower. A motion blur would essentially counter that, and maintain the illusion that the wheels/treads are moving really fast.

Depth of field would also be another nice effect to add when using the zoom feature on certain weapons.
