to put it politely. its effing irritating.

I have a $800 CRT sitting on my desk, weighing 30kg, and taking up masses of my desk space.

If i invested yay much money into a monitor, sacrificed a large portion of my desk space to it, and an expensive pc to back it up, would i adjust it so that it was out of focus. why no sir, I would not.

perfect example is shangri la map, or whatever it is. go to snipe somebody across the courtyard, and it is literally so blurred, that the head and shoulders meld together.

options would be nice. disabling post processing would be stupid, as then the game colours look like ****. however... honestly. I would like to actually see this pretty game.

Easy fix. In your UTEngine.ini

[SystemSettings]
DepthOfField=False

Make sure that is False and that problem will go away. :)

you lose a lot of other shiny stuff when doing that

True, but that's the only way to get rid of that blurry effect he doesn't like. :)

nah, if you set blur and bloom and ... to false, that's enough

you spent $800 on a CRT??
no tft or plasma? but a CRT, you know like a tube screen, with still a cannon inside it?
it must be 30" or something to give $800 for it...

Sorry for offtopic though. I didn't understand it ...

Do you want the game to look shiney or do you want to be able to see? :D

I agree it's pretty hard to do a headshot because players farther than 10 meters look like red or blue blurred spots on the monitor.

'Yay, I'm shooting at moving red spots!!!'

^guy playing UT3 :)
