You can already find 3 new custom maps in this forum for UT3:)
The problem seems to be, how do you play them offline, where to put them?
EDIT:
Right! I figured out a different, easier way.
It really is this folder:
C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSLOGINNAME\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps
But it doesn't actually automatically make this folder, only if you've made your own map once in the editor. If you simply make this folder yourself it works :)

C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSLOGINNAME\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps

Hmm, I will try but there is no folder called Published in UTgame, do I have to make it myself? And do they appear in the maplist without .ini then?

yes the ini file is made by the game when you run the map the first time

So what do I do, make a new folder and sub-folder and sub-folder till I have Published\CookedPC\Maps and put them all there?

One of the things I loved about ut2004 is that in he ut2004.ini there's a part that lists all the paths: paths .../maps, music, textures, etc. Isn't there still a way to add new paths? I'll be kind of upset if there's not because in 2004 I liked to make new folders and keep all custom models in one directory, the default stuff in it's own directory and custom maps in a third for each. It just made it a lot easier to uninstall something when I needed the space or didn't want it anymore.

In UT3 this is automatically 2 different folders. C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\CookedPC\Maps for all standard maps and C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSLOGINNAME\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps for all custom maps. Now all I want is a way to change the custom map folder to a place I really want them, and that might be possible in a .ini

im having some real trouble with this aswell.... i dont have the "'C:\Users\Lem\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\published\CookedPC\Maps.
Whats there instead is CustomMaps folder.... for which i've extracted the custome map files too, and still doesn't show up in the retail game. I've also tried creating a folder just called "Maps" and still doesn't show up in game. I extracted just the files and copied them to both dir. still didn't show up, and i tried extracting the custom map folders aswell into the maps and customMaps folder and STILL doesn't show up in game. Any help would be apreciated and im running WinXP.
did you try opening the map in the command line?
