Here's my specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo e6700
ATI Radeon HD 2600 xt
2gb DDR2 667
Sigmatel onboard audio
Vista Home Premium 64-bit

I would like to make sure my system will run the demo first before getting the game next week. I wouldn't want to waste my money buying a game I can't play.

Have a go at running the game with the onboard audio disabled. Failing that I'd suggest reinstalling the the video drivers.

you nailed it on the head with the onboard audio. But how am I supposed to play it without sound now? Is there a way to fix this?

Between bullying Epic till they release a patch for your onboard sound and buying a separate soundcard I'd always plump for the latter:)

Seriously though, first check to see if there are any updated drivers for the onboard sound from the motherboard maker (Dell?).Also fully update the O/S and then try again.

If it doesnt work then, then its time to shell out for a sound card. Im using an old soundblaster live 5.1 card, a full one not an oem one though.
