Game freezes

:pHi, jsut installed the demo went to load it up and i get as bar as the first splash screen i think its called it goes to a black screen as if to load up then freezes with no error message. i have gt the lastest drivers for my card

Specs
intel core 2 duo @ 2.13ghz
nvidea gerforce 7600 gt

i've got the same problem but with the full game. i've tried everything.
i tried a patch, a fix that disables the intro movie, reinstalling directx.
nothing works
