How to set Gears resolution to 960x600 [solved]

Hi,
I need to set Gears for Windows' resolution to 960x600. The game doesn't give very solid frame rate on the 1024x640 setting so I though this resolution might help. I don't wanna play on 800x600 coz of the aspect ratio problem (16:10).
Can anyone please help me with this?

cant you set a custom mode in the .ini file? It's located in mydocuments/mygames for UT3. Make sure you use the Nvidia Control Panel and add that resolution first, and also set it to nvidia scaling, it will be much better than monitor scaling.

Thanks, I was able to put the resolution in the game but the nvidia control panel wouldn't let me change the scaling. No matter what scale I set it always brought me back to 960x600 for scale. Solution?
The game now runs on this resolution, really really thanks for that. Now if I can just solve the scale problem :).
