Select the wav file you want to use in the generic browser and then switch over to the Actor Classes tab and use Actor > Keypoint > Ambient Sound > AmbiantSoundSimple.

I had a question about sound in another thread. (This was asked before this thread was made.)
For those of you who have created user content, did you go into the audio directory (if there is one)? The reason I ask this is because if I create a map, or I connect with someone who created a map, but needs original sound design, I'd like to know what format the audio is in and what format the new audio needs to be in. An example of this is if the characters are fighting in a church or something. It would sound more realistic if the acoustics of that room were emulated, and this can be done with reverb and other audio tools/plugins.

Calvin: You can add a ReverbVolume around your level (or just the church) and let the engine manipulate the sounds for you! The kryll level in the game has a huge reverbvolume around it to give the sounds a feeling of a empty city.
When importing your own sounds I'm not sure if they changed the file format specs from UT2k4. I know they are still .wav files, but I don't know the specifics beyond that.

TY, so much NeoNautica. :) I'm going to build a pc specifically for this game and the editor, and I needed some info about the sound as that is where my expertise is. So, if I give sounds to someone for a custom made map, everyone else who wants to play the map would have to place those sounds in the appropriate folder correct? If so, providing custom sounds and all of that would be as simple as zipping everything in a folder and posting it for the community to download.
Tommorow I'm going to do some scratch vocal takes and see if I can get some weird locust like vocals going on. If everything goes well I'll upload the stuff for everyone to listen to.
