i got ut3 since 10 minutes ( ;) ) and some questions:

- where do i find the user.ini :o ????
- how can i switch the language from GER to ENG?
- where do i disable the "blood" (while I'm beeing hit, e.g.)

There is no longer a user.ini file, or at least there wasn't in the demo. All the .ini files are now located in My Documents/My Games/UT3. Dunno the rest of that stuff.

1) I try My Documents/Games/Unreal Tournament 3 or somewhere about there
2) You can't. The German release is (surprise surprise) in German
3) The blood is disabled, afaik... (alternately, try the .ini's... lol)

He means the screen turning red when being hit. How to disable that... some ini settings I guess. Everything from now on will go with ini settings. Just wait for a list of possible ini changes ;)

Thanks! In the UTGame.ini is GoreLevel=0, but when I'm hit, there is gore shown!

In UT2004 I could change this in the ut2004.ini I think

Afaik you cannot change the language in the german version. There is no ini-hack.

in theory there should be some way of of putting the gore back into the game manually thru the scripts and ini options....

English text is one thing, but the spoken language is a totally different thing.
A real kick-ass UT needs english sounds !

clearly you have never played UT games in Spanish... that's really really irritating, lol

I had to play once, it really sounds weird... "Muorte Doble" and "Fiesta Sanguinaria" somethings like this... I love "Double Kills" and "Killing Sprees"

nope they are sapnish or some other language
in portugues it would be like "dupla morte" or "duplo assasinato" (act of killing)
and "festa sangrenta" but i prefer "banho de sangue", that woudl be blood bath

i find spanish reeeaaally irritating, portugues is alot more cleaner

could anyone PLEASE!!! clear a few things up?

so is it possible to change the gore level from 0 to....normal? like it is in the international version? someone mentioned UTGame.ini is GoreLevel=0 or something. what happens if you change it? will there be gore?

now whats going on exactly with the langauage stuff. can you use the text files from the demo? do they cover the whole full game as well?

cobra mentioned that he has all sounds in english. how is that possible? did the demo already have all the sounds from the full game? including the dialogues from the story?

this would be quite important to me because if i can modify the german version to get all the features from the international one, i'll order it right now =)

Hi,

gore=1 (e.g.) does NOT work! I don't have the demo, sorry...

But I'm trying to REMOVE the gore "feature". While I'm hit, it's very disturbing, everything flashing in red... :( ;)
