Can u edit the Music in game with the editor?

can u edit the music in the game????? For example , the Menu music.

I don't think you can do that in the editor, if you wanted to do that I assume you would have to find the file that the main window plays, and replace it with the song you wanted to play in the main window. But if that file is in some sort of proprietary format then you might have some trouble doing so.

Yes you can do this by renaming the song to whatever the main menu music title is, then import, and finaling replacing the current menu music in whichever package it would be in. This would break compatibility though for online play lol, I wouldnt recommend it.

Where are the musics stored?
In the editor I only found stinger musics. Where are the battle-musics and mainmenu music?

Well there are in Gears of War\WarGame\CookedPC\Sounds\Music_Score.upk and Music_Stingers.upk

Open it with GenericBrowser and select Cue Sounds, u will can listen and trigger it for ur events.. Was that, no?

Not only can you do that but you can make your own. Just make sure it's in wav format and it's only 16bit or it wont work. I have a few songs on my map so far :D. It's going pretty well.

Would somebody please tell me step-by-step process how to add custom music and listen it in-game?
I'd like to know everything from importing custom music to saving the mod, and using the modded files in game.

I've read the official tutorials but it doesn't tell the process detailed enough.

how about just changing the menu music? would that be simple to do? would it mess up your online play i was thinking an awesome mini-mod would be to change the menu music to Gary Jule's "Mad World" (reminiscent of the awesome gears trailer containing that song)
