I made this request earlier on the now closed and hidden mod board for the Beta but since it can't be seen now I thought I should repeat it.

While the HB is nice, I see many points that it can be improved upon.
Ability to use the HB to fall farther with less damage. Maybe a set % reduction to your Z axis speed if the board is out. A cap on the speed reduction would also be needed to keep it within reason..
Ability to grapple enemies also using a HB and knock them off.
A melee attack that can be done on the HB to take out an opponent that lets you get to close. High damage but hard to get close enough.
Shorter recovery time after falling off board.
Ability to use Grapple on walls to swing across gaps or climb walls(very vulnerable when doing so).
Longer grapple line.
Better control while being towed.

With the addition of the grappling enemies to knock them down and a melee attack while on the board a DM based game type using only the board and grapple to attack could be made.

I know that the HB can be used to lower the odds of getting damaged from a fall from the AVRiL spawn to the armor/boots spawn but it isn't consistent. Some times it prevents damage and some times it doesn't.

i think the hoverboard is quite well done in my opinion...the idea was transportation quicker, not a weapon based quick thing,....but yeah im sure this would make gameplay pretty intense with these additives to it :D

I just want more tricks for when people start making skate park themed maps :)

needs more tony hawk developers to design the board flow and tricks. Epic should sub-contract them

If you ever seen "Reboot", the 3D cartoon back in the 90's, they use hoverboards a lot there. it's about a virtual characters inside a computer who try to stop a virus.

Hell yeah, and they could pretty much fly on those!

I don't like the Hoverboard, but I would love to see a Reboot-style hoverboard patch! At least if you got shot, you wouldn't keep falling off all the time. (unless it was a rocket of cause!) :p
