performance question

this isnt a complaint about bad performance. just the opposite. I get exceptionally good performance, at 1280x1024 with full settings. On a 7800GTX..

My question is, is my card not new enough for some of the technologies, and it's just disabled automatically? It's just very surprising that my fairly old card can run this so well.

Not sure, I suppose you could do a side by side comparison on specs. I can tell you that mine does exceptionally poor. 30 fps average, any resolution.
I should also add that this beta has shown awkward performance ranges all across the board.

nothing overclocked by me any signifigant amount

I can't comment on your particular setup, but I'm quite sure the game is supposed to adjust itself to your hardware - i think that was one of the major things epic was looking at with the beta.

For my graphics card (x800) pretty much every bell and whistle was properly smacked with a hammer by default (in UI and INI). :up:

yea, i am using xp. still dont see any point in upgradeing yet
