UPDATE: We've started getting some pretty sweet concept art at the Forum (http://www.unrealtournament3forum.com). Check it out by clicking HERE (http://www.unrealtournament3forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=83&st=0&sk=t&sd=a). The most recent concept art will be in the later pages.
You've witnessed the birth of team 3dIT and the infamous Project X, now anyone can be a part of it! That's right peoples, we need some artists (or just some dudes/dudettes with some free time) to throw together some sketches/paintings/sculptures/chapel-ceilings of what YOU think Project X should look like based on what we have established for the game/mod. If you don't know what's been established, check out the "Project X name and idea finalized! (http://www.unrealtournament3forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=75&sid=d94389eb33eee4e03303d91985532797)" post on the UT3F forums.
Who should submit concept work? Any member of the forum, no matter how good you are. If you want to post a picture of a stick-man battling a zombie on top of a skyscraper, be my guest! Just make sure that the stick-man has a badass beard and sunglasses!
What should you do concept work for? Any aspect of the current game design, OR any aspect of the game that we haven't discussed yet that you think SHOULD be a part of our Mod. If you have any questions or completed work, post that stuff here (http://www.unrealtournament3forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=83&sid=d94389eb33eee4e03303d91985532797)!
(P.S. The really good submissions will be used as advertisements for the Project, and the Clan so do your best!)

I know I am looking forward to seeing what people can come up ... also I will have to make some time this week to get some concept work done myself.

Looking forward to it! The more concept work we have, the more easily understood our project is. :)

I'm just excited to see what kind of awesome concepts we can see. I know there's all kinds of talented artists out there who would just blow us away with their work.
That EXACTLY you want to see?
I mean character concept\level cocept\story or something else?

Anything goes for the time being. We won't be looking for anything specific until further on in the process, when we know which artists are good at what type of concepts.

You know what I would like to see ... concepts of Zombies that are actually evolving into something superhuman but dead ... along the lines of the Marvel Zombies but more real like Heroes ... I was thinking that dead but evolving creatures would be very interesting. What could make this mod very different from any other Zombie type mod you have seen is that these Zombies actually evolve into creatures that have powers and are evolving in intelligence as well ... albeit at a much slower rate (I need more time to think about that).
So from my perspective as the Project Lead I would appreciate any concept work that has to do with evolving dead beings. Maybe even some Gieger type bio-mech evolvutions as well ... get creative and mix it up. But just keep in mind these are still zombies .. think of them as meta-zombies or X-Zombies.
Also some special weapons made soley for the purpose of defeating Super-powered/evolved Zombies ... not all zombies of course will evolve ... in the game the hero would kill a lot of regular ones before they could have a chance to evolve so no special weapons would be needed for them. See we will have two special classes of weapons: One class will be the more familiar with AR, SMGs, Shotties, a great handgun, regular grenades, a minigun, etc. and these weapons should be just slightly more advanced than current real technology (like in Aliens); the second class will deal with weapons that were specially made like a Particle Disruptor Hand Cannon or PDHC, this is where you can let your imagination run wild and come up with some cool things never before heard of, again with the sole purpose of defeating a plethora of evolved powered dead beings.
So that should be enough to keep you artists and modellers busy ... you can send these to the Project Founders and please send them to me as well of course - it is best to send me a PM letting me know you are interested and you are going to definitely submit concept art to the project and I will give you my personal email address and we will go from there. I really hope to see some great things and I feel like I have you plenty of freedom to come up with TOYS we would all like to play with and creatures we would all love to FRAG! Have fun being as creative as you can. And remember we definitely appreciate whatever it is you have time to contribute ... we all know how busy life is and when it slows down many times all we want to do is game. I know ... my copy of Call of Duty 4 is still unopened and waiting for me to get on it.

More of the semi-final information can be found HERE (http://www.unrealtournament3forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=152). It's been updated fairly recently so that should help people understand more about what we're looking for.

We've already got some pretty good concepts in the works, I'd like to see some other people's visions for the mod too, though.
