Question on Tutorials

Are the same tutorials related in the UT3: Collector's going to be available somewhere else? I'm wondering because I am curious on buying Gears of War PC to learn UnrealED. Also, am I going to be able to import models from Maya 8.5 PLE into UnrealED just like the ut2004 days?

There will be the UDN3, plus there will be another Mastering Unreal book, etc.
GoW's asset design is different from UT3.
Max/Maya are supported and most stuff for importing is similar to UT2004.
