I have a teammate that just fired up the demo, and according to the stat page that went online a while back, with his 12 recorded kills (putting him at the bottom of the rung roughly) it said that he was something like 57,068 (can't remember the exact numbers but it was something like that).
I dunno, that is not counting offline players because you need a stat enabled server to actually register stats. That's a lot of peeps for a beta demo imho.
Oh wow, now I am really wondering. I tried some random search, namely an asterisk. Found a player with an ELO 0f 862. That player is ranked "170624 out of all Unreal Tournament 3 players".
