Hi, I'm wondering if any modders can make this when the game UT3 comes out. First, A paintball arena map, with tons of cover nd all that. Second, a paintball gametype. It is made for the map i was talking about. It is 2 teams, CTF, one flag on each side of the arena, 1 hit kills elimination style. (Once u get hit ur out for the round) and only weapon u can use is the enforcer. Therfore, the game would force people to actually take cover and use tactics to survive. Btw round ends when either 1 team caps other teams flag or a whole team is eliminated. If any modders are intrested in creating this, post here.

Looks like a mix of TAM and CTF to me. I've had my own thoughts about it and I think with the right maps this would work very well. Just not sure if it fits right in Paintball...
What about: allowing all weapons, and a round ends when someone caps or when the enemy team is eliminated. With the right maps, this would evolve in a game very close to TAM with sometimes rounds decided by the flag. Ofcourse you can lame and all defend the flag, that's why you need the right maps.. Or maybe put a flag in the middle of the map and its your job to bring it back to home-base flag. Everybody would rush the middle flag :D or rush the enemy flag :D
The first to have a certain amount of rounds wins.

Yeah, but thats what I'm saying... If somebody could make a map like a painball arena suited for this gametype. And yes, it would be like TAM and CTF combined but with 1hit kills and only the enforcer.

I'm sure with ut2004 and ut2003 u can specifiy lives in the game by the configs for each gametype maybe can do the same in ut3 and just add a paintball gun.

So is anyone intrested in making this?
Wont be hard to do so when the game is out you should start right away.
Here are the easy parts:
altering the enforcer.
making it the only player weapon.
removing other things from the map like weapons, vehicles.
Only 1 live, UT2004 had a setting something like MaxLives would be 1.
Little bit harder parts:
Fixing the gamemode to be both CTF and TDM, (so like you wanted all death or 1 cap)
A paint ball, and a paint splash/hit effect, and maybe a nice way to send players off the map? (maybe a bit of realism like they have to go to a place and then become spectators or can watch the game some other way in a max of time else they die or get jailed or something ;))

I play instagib. its 1 hit kill. And I can assure you that 1 hit kill simply will not work in this principle. Because the whole enemy team will be dead in no time. And it'll always be 1 hit kill TAM, the flag wouldn't be used, ever.
The only way I can see this being any success is if its 1 hit kill, but very very hard to kill the enemy. Like you have to charge a full-bio and also actually hit someone, and it wouldn't stick to the ground or whatever. Unless you mean this it would simply not work no matter how the maps are.

how about a max distance for the ball to travel?, and so what if its ends fast or flags not used, but then again maybe some realism to it could solve the problem?
like people get tired from running, haha i dont know.. i got enough ill start making when its out this paintball thing would not be on the list but i dont mind helping out.

NOVA? Are you gunna make it? Btw if you are can u make it run good with PS3 cuz thats what im gunna be playing UT3 on...Can't afford a high end pc.

Ever herd of speedball?lol. The rounds are so fast ist's nuts. Imo, a modified bio-rifle would make for a wicked paintball gun though. The goo effects could be altered to make the paintball effects. Red team gets red paint, blue gets blue.
I personally like playing speed ball more than anything else. But the field would have to be fairly large. Include some doritos, snakes, ect.

Never heard of speedball. He compared it to the Enforcer so I thought that would be a hitscan weapon. Anyways, if OP doesn't say anything anymore.. I still like the idea about the CTF and TAM mod.
not sure how mods will do crossing PC en PS3, assume it will be same on both.. (or hoping really)
i'm not really planning on making it but the mods im making are harder than this so i might if i get stuck on other ones.
but then again there are loads of other people that can code in uscript here too.
