I'm an UT player, and I hate CS as much as most of you do probably;) But I am interested in why some games get so popular and why some don't. And I think one of the reasons cs is so succesfull is because they have a good main mod; defuse. I think this mod would have great potential in UT games. Not so much 2k4 with the dodge-jump, you would move too fast, but in UT3 it's doable. What do you think?

Defuse? Don't think so.

CS is successful because not only is it a solid and very good game, but it came free with one of the best games ever made.. half life (and source)

/\ And that's different than SF, TO or Infiltration how? CS was just an example of snowballing popularity, it had to start out as a separate mod too.

Wait, are you talking about an actual realism mod or just defusing bombs? Because I think you could just make warfare maps where people have to activate goals.
