This is something I have been wanting ever since the UT2003 leaks (because it was in there), and it's something I pushed for really hard during Envy's development (yes, that long ago). It isn't in the game, so I'm hoping to create it.
Basically, you're on a team and you have several other teams, somewhere around 8, or 12, 16, etc. Some number that's a multiple of four. In it is a series of "scheduled" matches where teams are pitted against each other in a randomly assigned gametype (including TDM, CTF, vCTF and Warfare). Teams proceed whether they win or lose. There is no restart option.
At the end of so many matches (proably 12, 16, 20, you get the idea) the best X ranked teams square off in a "playoff" setting... either four or eight. Probably eight just to make the playoffs longer (but with this there will be a need for 12 teams or more). The teams will face off in three-game eliminations (best of 3) until you get to the finals (where four teams remain). From there, it will become a best of five. Winners go on to the championship, losers are eliminated. Championship is seven matches.
So, what kind of interest is there for something like this?
