I'm a junior at the University of Maryland, College Park. I'm the founder and president of the Student Association for Video Game Awareness, Research, and Development on campus. We have 40 active members in our group and about 15 people dedicated to our project for the next 1-2 years... the upcoming Make Something Unreal contest for UE3.

Being from the Comp Sci program, we have tons of capable and dedicated coders and engineers. What we lack are artists. To be honest, I'm still trying to recruit students, but if we can't fill these positions soon, I'll have to resort to contracting this work out.

If you are a talented artist, animator, or modeller and looking to get your name out there, start a portfolio, or add work to an existing portfolio, please let me know - we may have a spot for you.

I would prefer someone local to the MD, VA, DC area but if all else fails, we can settle for someone at a remote location.

Send me a PM with your contact info if you are interested.

Unfortunately, I can't go into details about the game, but we have our concept, design docs, and some working code in UE2.5 already. This will be a long project so we need someone who is really passionate about making games and looking to break into the industry and get their name out there and not someone who thinks they may be interested and then disappears 2 months later.

Best regards,
Anthony McCulley

I might be interested in doing some texture and/or concept work for this mod. Send me some more info and I'll see.

Thank you to everyone who sent a private message - I have responded to all of them. I suppose I should check these forums more often... things are starting to hop around here. Anyone else who is still interested, we haven't filled the positions just yet so keep the inquiries coming. I just heard yesterday that we may get some funding from the university so there may be $$$ involved.

Regards,
Anthony
