Screw that, I'm not spending all that money on a core.

A Core is about $115, used, and refurbished......I payed GameStop about $250+ for a used Core 360 till the priced went down used when Madden NFL 08 came out so yeah......My next year, I'm having a Hard Drive, and a Wireless Network Adapter, and a PS3....so yeah I guess just send it to Microsoft......My friend said he sent his 360 to Microsoft awhile ago, and it comes back in 3 weeks, I was like "BS LMFAO! Your screwed for over more than a month b****!"...LMFAO. Trooper I'm going to miss you on GoW, I always wanted to play with you, and have some 2v2 by your side so please, Just send it to Microsoft......

P.S. - When the price went to $115 for the Used core, I still had an active month warranty, So I told the guy I wanted to give it back, get my money back, and then just buy it again. After that he tells "You didn't have to bring in the 360 though..." I was okay, I didn't F'N know that....Shiiiiiiiiii* so yeah I got back the rest of the money, bought myself a Memory Card like a dumbass, and a wireless controller. In that Gamestop the HD was about $60.

Dont!, do the towel trick it worked for me, its because microsoft puts sh1tty thing on the chips, and by heating it up with the towel it gets loose and u can play again do it!

Aw, I was looking forward to playing with you again soon. :( :(

I guess your best option is to send it to MS and use the towel thingie as a backup.

Send it back to Mr. Gates... It'll only take about three weeks and you usually get a coupla months of free XbL gold membership... Well, at least it does here...

you could do the towel trip by heating it up but its not a sure way to fix it. Check out www.llama.com (xbox360 section). It also has great way to fix it but you have to take it apart and that voids the warranty so if your not handy with electronics then just send it in so that you get it fixed for free.

I would advise against the "towel trick" because;

1) it's only temporary, it could last either a day, a week or even half an hour.

2) it works by severely overheating the graphics card which could damage it.

3) damage as a result of the towel trick could result in having to pay for the repair/reeplacment.

Just have some patience mate, I got the 3 red rings of death and I just bought a 360 elite in it's place, the 360 elite was designed to counter the overheating problem and I can say it works like a charm.

I hope that happens to me, when I have to send my 360 in to get fixed. But Where do you go if you need to get it fixed at Microsoft?

I actually did this! And you know what It was a smart buy because we all know what comes out in 10 days and I was not going to be missing out on 72 straight hours of fun. Now I also haven't sent my Premium 360 out yet but I am recieving the box for it soon. And now I have a backup 360, the guys at the Software Etc. at first but then then they realized, "Oh sh*t! If mine ever dies I don't have to wait for repairs to play again." They all bought cores as I was leaving. This is the easiet and fast way to keep gaming and not be missing out on the new 360 titles.

I just got my xbox back from the repair center. (Actually, they sent me a brand new one instead of my original) It takes excatly four weeks. Red lights mean you have to send it in! It sucks not having it or being able to play gears. After a month of not playing, I kind of suck compared to before. Just have to get back up to my level.

It happened to me, all I did was turn off the console, unplug my hard drive, plug it back in then restart the machine.
