Just announced at Comic-Con! NECA has the license to create action figures, busts, statues, & replicas for Gears & its sequels! Absolutely fantastic choice of licensee! Their work is amazing. Products are coming in 2008! Can't wait for these babies! Big ups for Syn Voxx for posting this info first! Excellent! I was really hoping McFarlane or NECA got the liscense for GoW. They would bring the level of detail that the IP deserves. Now, I demand posability!

As far as I can tell they didn't say anythignabout the new content being exclusive to the PC...maybe I read it too fast but I didn't see anything stating that. So I wouldn't speak too soon. PLus I would expect that the content will be downloadable either during or shortly after the release of the PC edition. Just my thoughts.

Um...did you post in the wrong thread or am I just sitting a bit to the right?

Ummm, just out of curiousity, will the action figures be destructiable? Meaning, can I run up with my Kim action figure, push a button to make him scream, and chainsaw General Raam into pieces?

Ah, someone else noticed! His face looks fine in the studio-lit pictures NECA put up on their site, but in this (http://www.figures.com/databases/news/actionfigures/159/1079.jpg)
picture, the headsculpt looks way off. I think they made him look too old, with too many age lines on his face.

It also looks like he's holding his lancer awkwardly and at an odd angle to his body. Hopefully that's not due to restricted arm articulation. Everything else: detail, paint, sculpting, and accessories are great, across the board. I just hope these figures have a high articulation count; those legs are looking a little static.

Cole's head seems tiny and Marcus's face seems a bit...off. I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of the figures that people actually own and not in studio lighting. They might look better in a normally lit room and not under glaring camera lighting. *shrugs*

they will also have removable armor and be anatomically correct.Cole is going to make Kim feel really awkward.

Bigger pictures are up here! (http://www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=fignews2.setup&category=actionfigures&topic=155&show_article=451&nl=1)

I hope that Boltok on the Locust is removeable, and the figures have weapon storage on their backs. A Locust Sniper varient? So mine! Cole and both Locust are sure buys for me, but I'll wait till I see Marcus' headsculpt in person before I decide to pick him up.

It looks like the locust figures have a light sabre on their left leg.
And here is a link to the locust sniper
