I was just searching around for some pics of GoW and came accross this (http://www.canalgame.com/data/docs/20050315120908/gears_of_war_engine_unreal_3.jpg). Have any off you seen this?

Yes there is a topic about this, i cant remember what we decided it was! :) Its bigger than the air paranas though! Ill find its name (ill come back and edit my post)

EDIT: I dont think we ever came up with its name :(

ya this is from the UE3 test thing, Zoso knows more about it, but it looks like some weird locusts we dont know about yet, its NOT the krill like someppl migh think, its something else, lol u know we have been worrying about the weapons and MP gametypes and wondering what weapons and modes EPIC is hiding from us, we never thought about what ENEMIES Epic is hiding from us! lol maybe there will be some more Locusts and other crazy enemies!

The scenery is far too bright and colorfull to be Gears of War. I hope I'm not insulting the guys at Epic right now.:p

Well... Take a look at this picture i just found of Brumak. Its in what looks like the same scenery as that other lil bugger...

Maybe that flying thing is a unrevealed Locust...

yeah both those pics are from some unreal engine 3 test/demo or something, Zoso knows more about it, i think that flying thing is some unrevealed locust!

Oh just a test area. Okay itd be weird if that was an actual level in GoW
You go from dark dingy and all spooky to... that. Some brightly lit plain

well i think there is a forest level in GoW, i have seen some screenshots, ill post em if u want, but they were not so bright and happy! lol, they were more of a spooky dark forest, that is just some map they made to show off there engine

Yeah Id love to see the forest level!!
And spooky forests are kewlio
Maybe they got some Spider Locusts up their sleeves :p

that little flying monster looks like a mix between a krill (it has wings), and a brumak (eyes). but the body looks alittle different them most creatures/locust's in this game. but who knows, now i'm even more interested to see what that monster is!! and does anybody else think that the Brumak is gonna first appear in the "Forest Level" of the game? because i saw a couple of pics of the Brumak, and they were all of the Brumak jumping out of large shrubs/bushes, and ambushing Marcus. i dont know, it would be a very spooky way of introducing the Brumak!:D
