I'm sure many of you know that a few weeks ago, I posted a poll asking which idea sounded better, General Void or General Theron. Well, with everyone's input and advice... I've chosen Theron to focus on.

So what's this thread about? Post to discuss about my idea, help me improve it in any way, etc. Here's what I have so far:

-Would have the armor of a Theron Guard or a Sentinel... most likely a Guard's since it looks cooler, just black with red/gray areas.
-Creator of the Therons, the Locust Horde's elite soldiers... theory on it below.
-His backstory itself is also open to suggestions/ideas. Let me know again if you have any thoughts. Part of it now includes the Holy Theron bit below, but I'd like to see some backstory of what he did before then. I know I put ruthless killer and all that... but I wanted some other stuff. Who did he kill? What missions? If anyone has ideas (I can't think of that deep a backstory, hence the point of this thread) let me know.
-Could have some improved weaponry. Possible ideas include an enhanced sniper or torque bow, a stronger/full-auto shotgun, and a custom pistol.

You can also e-mail or IM any ideas to me. Sometimes I'm not on the forums for a while, so my screename is ScarfaceShark55 if you wanna reach me on AIM; and marcshark@sbcglobal.net is both my email and my Yahoo messenger screename. Thanks guys.

*The Theron Guard/Sentinel/Third Class creation theory, General Theron included*

Long before Emergence Day occured, Queen Myrrah (sp?) of the Locust was looking for a strong soldier to defend the Locust Horde's most holy site, her Holy Theron. One day, she came across a Drone, who had been training to become a sniper. He had already proved himself in combat tests and a number of other things. He had no name, they simply called him "Soldier". The Queen summoned this Drone to her chambers, and gave him the task of defending the Holy Theron. But before he left... she christened him with the name of "General Theron" (she foresaw what would happen in the future, and knew in order to truly defend the Holy Theron, he'd need a high rank in the military). She also gave him a special suit of armor. It included a cloak and a special helmet, not just to give him a unique identity, but also to show his religious standing within the Locust Horde. Shortly after he became General Theron... he began to create the Therons. These were hand-picked Drones, rasied to be bloody killers, and given elite training. They also had special armor to show their higher standing. There were three different ranks/classes, and each had different headwear to show their specific rank:

Theron Guard: Meant to defend key targets, including the Holy Theron (hence the Guard name). Were the middle rank of the three Therons
Theron Sentinel: The higher ranking of the three Theron classes. Used for a number of purposes, as well as general battlefield command.
Theron (no name... seen in campaign as a third Theron class though): Lowest rank of the three Therons. Meant as soldiers and front line attackers, as well as possible spec ops with other Therons.

So far, that's the Theron creation idea. Thanks to 1000000 for the original idea, I edited some parts with him to make it fit General Theron more.

100000000's Theron Guard theory is now the basis for the creation of the Therons, but modified first to include the General, and to make it fit right.

Will update the original posting with the theory/story

Thats more back story on 1 locust (that doesn't even exist) than we've had on all the locust since the game came out.

Yeah, I know. A lot of the reasons people voted Theron when I had the poll was because there was a lack of backstory on the Locust, and they liked seeing a General that could provide backstory on the Therons at least. I'm hoping some more backstory for the Locust would be provided... in my opinion, at least, they were one of the coolest enemies in a video game. But yeah, I wanted a nice backstory for Theron since there seemed to be a lack of backstory for the Locust.

you fellas do know that there is already a 3rd class of theron guard in the game right?

It kind of looks like a regular theron, but it's headdress is like a motorcycle helmet with some weird arrow insignias on the top. Look around in act 4, I'm sure you will come across one or two of them.

I know, that's what I meant by the third Theron class above.

*Note... edited above to include that the third Theron class I mentioned is the one seen in campaign. Sorry for not being more specific/clear.*

General Void or General Theron? Who cares what the facker's name is? :D Just make a big, unique-looking, badass locust and the new boss is born! They could name him General Dip$hit for all I care. :p

lol. but backstory is cool. i think i enjoy watching the menacing cut scenes of general raam than any of the others in the game. getting another menacing bad ass to fight wouldnt hurt.

Yeah. When I thought up Void, I modeled him after RAAM a bit. But... I love the Therons. That deep whisper, the cool armor... they're way too awesome. :)

*Whoops... forgot to add in that I made General Theron because of them.*
