How many times have you had two team members quarrel over the hammer of dawn on rooftops? And how many of those times has one of the team members blocked the entrance to to the building stubbornly because they couldn't have their way?

I propose that Epic does SOMETHING about this, because it's happened to me three times (twice today) and quite frankly, it's annoying. However, today it wasn't because somebody else wanted it.

This kid showed up to this first to 6 rooftops match and just tried to ruin it for everybody. He started out by simply standing in front of the sniper for the first two rounds, but then proceeded to stand in front of my hammer of dawn.

When it was 2-1, us leading, he took the hammer of dawn, saying"im just gona use this one round.: Then, laughing childishly, he said "*snicker* but im gonna use my shotgun!" He did so. When the numbers for each team had dwindled to three, he said, "OK OK, Ill use it, sheesh!" Then suicided himself with it.

The enemy won the round. Until the score was tied 4-4, he kept blocking the entrance to the building of the hammer, making it so I couldn't escape, while he laughed the whole time. Here is where I got really, really, REALLY mad:

You all know that we don't get quadruple kills often, and when we do they feel.......awesome. I had the perfect shot at one. I noticed that not too far in front of me, two of my teammates were dancing in a shotgun battle with ALL of the enemy. I placed my targeting reticule right in the center of all the chaos.

My fingers started shaking, I knew what was about to happen...

I could barely contain my excitement, my teammates had fallen and now the locusts started to turn towards me.

the lasers started to form a beam, I was grinning, the locusts had begun to panic, but it was no use now, I knew. They were gonners.

Suddenly, this idiot jumps in front of me "hey whats UP!?!?!?!? HA HA HA HA HA!" and completely destroys my first quadruple kill......

I cursed him with every single cuss word I knew, as did my teammates.

we ended up losing 5-6........

Which now leads us to my ideas:

1.Please, add SOME way to not get trapped in the building in rooftops. It's SO ANNOYING.

2.Alow people to boot others in ranked matches by allowing the team to vote whether to boot the player. If 3 people vote "yes" to boot, then it shall be. The person who was kicked shall recieve a loss in their stats, but keep all weapon kills. I want this so that people can boot others who are only in games to ruin others fun.

Wouldnt that mean Epic has to go back in and redo the map? I dont know if thats easy to do or not.

When Epic made this game, they didnt account for jackasses. I can see three friends booting a "noob" because its funny. Good idea, but somebody will screw some one over with any new ideas that are implemented in the game.

Edit: Might i add dont play Rooftops. There are three other maps with the HoD.

I tried that, trust me. resulted in losing two rounds in a row. I was doing better shooting it out of the building than by not grabbing it at all.

Redoing the map would not be hard at ALL. It could take maybe an hour or less. If you have ever messed around with unreal ed you know that it isn't hard to map you guys have to know how to do it right. But since the guys at epic are pros they should be able to do it in a jiffy.

I think the if three team members vote someone out then they get booted. If the team thinks booting some asshole is going to help them win then they should be able to.

Yea that happens well, me and my friends do it to each other for like 10 seconds, but you never know when the occassional dumbass comes in your game and screws it for you. Ohh yea when you said the person who gets kicked loses stat points i dont like that idea because.

- What if you and 2 of ur friends were playing. Neither one of you werehost. Thia guy comes in, but you want ur 4th friend to play, so you boot the other guy. He didnt do anything wrong and he loses stat points. That bad.

Although it could be a good idea, at the same time it's terrible. Imagine how many people would abuse the feature just for fun. As a British player I end up playing in a lot of American games and in every single one of them, for no reason at all, I'll start getting racial abuse, now imagine if it's me against 3 arrogant Americans who hate the British for god knows why and they decide to vote me out of the game just for giggles. Awful idea. Same goes for anyone, anyone who gets teamed with 3 people who have some sort of grievance with said person will end up being booted out of the game because people are childish. I know you said you want it to make the game more fun, but just think about how it can backfire on people. The other idea however, about the doors, is brilliant, every time I play rooftops some idiot blocks the door way so I can't get out, but we all know that Epic won't change it.

I can understand your frustration, as there are very many immature people these days playing games. Your idea about voting to kick someone would be bad, because there can be team stackers on each team, easily using this feature for evil.

Well the voting idea sucks, unless EPIC made deicated servers, which means client hit detection... Yes do it! Anyway i had that type of dude ruin the game for us. However I came up with a solution. I was first in front so I ran ahead and purposely blocked the noobs path to prevent him from closing the door. It worked most of the time.

Word. There would be abuse of this but I think a little abuse is better than dealing with a guy/girl who are out to glitch or just plain ruin your game.

But how about this: Lobby booting. When someone joins up and says:


Does anyone mind if I glitch?
Can we just focus on weapon ach's?
Hold up yo! Everyone be quiet so I can hit you with my rhymes. (wish to god I was kidding about this)


The host boots them. No uneven teams cause you have not started yet. Its brilliant.

Reading your original post made me sooooooo mad dude. I can't imagine what I would have done if that would have happened to me. I usually try to play with someone that I know as host so when glitchers and douche bags like that ruin the game we can quit out and put it to an end.

This is the only one scenario where the weapon slide comes in handy without anyone freaking out about it. You rush to the HoD, grab it and slide out of there before the noob can block your path. Not a very popular idea amongst the people who despise glitching, but it works.
