When you have the shotgun out and it does a double punch, is this completely random? Many times i only hit the B button once and it punches twice? I searched the forums for any previous posts and i didnt find any, so i was wondering if anyone can answer my question. thanks.

Maybe lag? I don't think I've experienced this myself, but I do know that the shotgun melee is buggy as hell (the second punch never seems to work).

happened to me a few times when i was playing on local play, so i dont think it has anything to do with lag.

i have had this happen to me once or twice...it gets annoying sometimes but i think it has to deal more of the connection than anything...

This is what happens: If you melee a person to begin with, then attempt to shoot your shotgun right after you melee, sometimes it swings twice.

I dont really care as long as it helps me when I hit them faster. I think its random because it randomly does it for me.

some times you will melee but it won't hurt anything and every time you hit the button or trigger it'll do a harmless melee so just don't hit a attack button for a full second and it will clear up

If you melee with a shotty then immediately pull the trigger then you will end up hitting twice. You have to time it right. And the second shotgun hit never works. Ever.

yea melee wit the shotty then pressin right trigger will sometime do a second melee. Its happened to me on and off host. It will not mellee a second time if you aim(hold left trigger).
