I want UC3 so bad

Seeing all these great new games coming out just makes me want a UC3 even more. Please don't force me into becoming a Halo 3 junky. As much as I love Halo, and I do, I wan to play UC3 in full next gen goodness. Hell even if they remade the game added some new characters and weapons I'd be happy as long as its in 720pi using the UE3 engine.

I couldn't agree more. Playing UC2 every week is a blast, but just the mere thought of a UC3 on a next-gen platform drives me nuts. Sadly, UC2 sold fewer copies than any other Unreal title (to my knowledge anyway), so the chances of a sequel might just be a pipe-dream. Then again, anything's possible.

If nothing else, Epic could always just re-release UC2 with various upgrades, kinda like Starbreeze is currently remaking The Chronicles Of Riddick for the 360. Heck, Riddick is already three years old and even with relatively minor tweaks - that game will still sell. From what I can gather, they's adding an expansion onto the already existing campaign and implementing a multiplayer component to boot.

Epic could simply polish up UC2's network code, add achievements, and let the cash roll in. UC2 deserves a second chance and a remake for the 360 could provide just that.

Wow, I didn't know someone was remaking Riddick and adding multiplayer. That's great news right there.

I hope they make a UC3 too. But I lost all hope when I say the interview with Mike Capps where he said UC2 was too hard for the average gamer and they didn't want to do that again. I will most likely get UT3 for PC late this year/early next year though. It's not gonna be as good as UC2, but it'll still beat every other arena shooter out there.

I like the melee system for travel and shield + the adrenalines. UT3 has vehicles but it's just first person and I tend to get bored. (but I enjoyed UT game of the year edition). Maybe I enjoy UT3.

UT3 should be a beast in its own way. My latest issue of OXM just came in the mail today, with a cover story on UT3 - so I can't wait to read some details. All I read so far was that it makes Gears look ugly.

Since UT3 is coming out for the XBOX-360, it is highly unlikely that a UC3 will ever make an appearance. The only console that I can see UC3 coming out for would be the Ps2, which is, again, highly unlikely since Sony is having troubles since the release of the Ps3, and UC is a Microsoft owned organization.

It's amazing that the original XBOX could handle UC2, so the chances of a UC3 on PS2 would never happen - even if developers are still creating games for that platform.

I didn't mean to imply that it did. Really. I was just trying to prove a point that UC3 will NEVER come to existance, no matter how bad you may beg. Epic and Midway are already getting ranted on over UT3 (i.e it's release date, what's in it-what's not?, ect.) And I'll admit, I'm one of the people that is hounding them for information.

However, if UT3 wasn't going to come to the 360 (Just Ps3, and Windows [and I hear the Mac will be able to support it if necessary]) then I wouldn't be surprised to see a UC3. However, since UT3 is being released on basically every 'new' platform, I doubt a UC3 will ever come. Unless they downgrade the graphics, sound, and quality of a next-gen game that UT3 will be, and put it on the original XBOX again, or Ps2.

Well said. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for a UC3, but there's no doubt UT3 will fit the bill nicely once its released. Halo 3 will still sell well, but I'm certain many Master Chief fans will convert to UT3.:p

im not sure about many converting snoogans tho, UT3 will no dought be the funner game, cus it would be more competitive, but ppl just want to pick up a game with VERY little learning curve like Halo. UT3 will pwn a lot of fps's. Casual players may not except it as the next best thing. But we can already base ut alone from epic's history. All of them had there problems, though it seemed like most of the problems were more of a user complaint then anything. All and all epic owns the fps's genre. Precisely the reason why development on UT3 has taken so long. Epic already knows they have a mega-hit on their hands, so their overall philosophy is that it's done when it's done. Heck, I don't mind waiting longer if it ultimately means a better game.

Definitely can relate. UC2 is almost an aquired taste. For me, it took time to really warm up to the whole experience. With time and effort though, the game only became deeper by the day. I'm almost convinced that the UC2 community will already have an upper hand on this UT3 once it's released - simply because the game won't be nearly as complex as our baby.
