I'm sure it's happened to the best of us, when your COMPLETLEY off your game. I have been great at this game with Sniper as my best weapon. But today, I had ONE good shot and I played all day.
How long did it take for you to overcome this funk? The next day hopefully.

i was doing really well with the sniper last week, getting no scopes almost every round, and for some reason this week i can only get a few. i've been in a bad mood though, so i'm sure that contributes.
you win some and lose some, but it is hard not to take it to heart. i'm sure the funk will end soon.

My worst day online has to be today, lagged out of a ranked match at the beginning and got a lot of losses and probably negative points I think you lose like 50 points.

It all depends on my team the map, and the time of day. Usually i only get really involved in the game if the other team starts to trash talk.

i had a bad day once...horrible, suicides....
There are good days and there are bad days, if you can overcome the bad ones, then you're set. :p

nothing picks me up faster than a boom that misses the target and blows urself up...just thought i'd throw that out there...lol
worse day had to be when I was shooting everyone in directly in the chest, they for some reason were not dying, I would get blown to pieces had NO kills that match, luckily the next match I had 20 kills, so it wore off pretty quickly

I think it's internet lag that causes you to suck below the level you can play at.

lag can really affect my gameplay sometimes, but i've gotten pretty used to it (i have only hosted 3 times in my online gaming of Gears).
had a real good night tonight, but i did manage to use the hammer of dawn on myself somehow. wonderful.

My worst single match was probably an execution Player match on Rooftops yesterday. 1st to 5, 5 sec bleedout, no weapon swaps. It was just a random match I joined, so I didn't know anybody on either team, and more importantly, they didn't know me. This was also the first match of GoW I'd played in several days, and when I don't play for awhile, it usually takes me a match or two to shake the rust off.
So anyway, the match starts and my team wants to just shotgun rush the middle of the map every damn round. This wasn't working, but they kept doin it, and it ended up 3 v 1, (me being the one), for several rounds. It didn't help that I was just plain off my game and couldn't manage to kill any of em with the HoD before gettin my skull popped by the sniper.
So at the end of the match, I had -1 point, (damaged myself with the HoD). Fackin terrible, by any reckoning. At that point, some "pros" who were in the match started asking the host to boot me. I told em I guessed none of them ever had a bad match and just quit.
Luckily, I shook this funk off pretty quickly and whooped ass on Annex for the rest of the night. :D
That one match really sucked, though. -1 point. Ouch.

annex is a good stress reliever. tons of kills, and less pressure from your team, at least when i've played it. if i'm doing horrible, i'll just put some relaxing music on while i play, and even if i do bad for the rest of the match, i'm chill.
bad days aren't as often the more you play, which is encouraging.

Yeah.. I've been using Annex as a means to warm up lately. It works very well for that. 'Course then I sometimes end up just playing Annex for the rest of the night, it's a lot of fun, and I'm pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. :D
I find that I don't have bad days anymore, just the occasional bad match, and those are getting pretty rare.

Thats a good idea. I should have quit warzone last night and played on annex.
I think there is some kind of crappy gears virus going around.... happened to me last night....

i think i has to do with karma, what comes around goes around, about 2 weeks ago i was completely destroying people it was like any weapon i picked up found it's target on the first shot, i was playing annex and i had the most kills and the most points every round i played that night, i felt unstoppable. fast forward to the next night, i turn on my xbox just planning on owning people, and it just didn't happen there were 1 or two rounds where i didn't make a single kill. i was doing all the same things i did the night before, the touch just wasn't on my side. i guess the moral is if you have a terrible night of gears, plan for a good one some time soon, and vise-versa.

I think karma was riding my back as I was going for all my weapon achievements. It seems right after getting each one my deaths following seemed to coincide with the achievement I had just gotten for about 3 days. Really weird.

You really just gotta recognize if its not your day.
