now that uc2 is on the 360(thank god) i was wondering if its possible to put custom maps in the game like i build them with unrealed and import them to the 360 harddrive cause alot of my buddies have a 360 and were asking me if i could put some of the maps i made onto the 360 for uc2/xboxlive .the maps were made with the editor that shipped with ut2k4 ece version i belive its 3.0 ,is this the same one that uc2 was made from or was it 2/2.5. i think i may just need one of the xport things that someone posted in another topic in this section that takes file and puts them in ur 360..any info would be helpful thx

Unfortunately, there's no possible way for this to become a reality. The default maps that come shipped with UC2 are all console gamers can play. Thankfully, there's close to 50 Maps (I never actually counted the exact amount), which when compared to other games, is more than enough.

That XPORT periphreal only allows the transfering of game saves. The whole Unreal Engine discussion pops up every so often, and I always forget exactly which one UC2 runs on. I know that it's an upgraded variant of 2.5 or something... 2.5 UX... ahh hell, someone else needs to chime in and clear this up.

Anyhow, sorry about the map situation.

Yes the engine for UC2 is unique and there is no way to share assets between it and other unreal games on any platform. It uses an engine tweaked especially for the Xbox ... the engine is called UE2X (X for Xbox). UE2.5 is the engine used for UT2K4. That engine is simply an extension of UE2 which powered UT2K3, Unreal II, and UC1 on the Xbox.
