Waldo's is in my opinon my equal in terms of sheer emotion and chaos. He was also able to juggle a huge cast. I dont feel that thats a good idea, but he pulled it off memorable. And likewise Hat did.

While ours (plus Waldos) are the biggest and most popular on the board, many of the other ones are quite worthy of recognition. If you want, check them out at the FFC thread (Fan Fiction Central).

It's probably rude to vote for yourself, but I dont need to anyways. I think Ranger is pulling off his story with flair. He's got political action, action, emotion, and nuclear warheads. Come on, that is absolutely brilliant. Oh, and he kills me by cutting me in half with a missile. Pizzaz!

Tmack is right, it is rude to call everyone else's stories worthless. They (most of them) worked hard on them, fine tuning them to the best of their ability. They're proud of them, and should be comended for working on them, because in this day and age, not enough writers are coming out strong.

And to be strong, you need to train and get encouragement, not belittlement.

And again if you didn't read I picked out the best fan ficers of them all. Obviously I picked the best I know whose fan fics have been getting all of the attention recently. Names are unnecessary here and if it really matters to you (which it shouldn't) you could have been nice about it. I was only joking too. Again, sorry if this really offended you but if that ruined your day, you really need more things to fill out your day cause that's just sad no offense. Sorry for the long post but I guess I just learned a lesson. I came up with the people out of the top of my head and I get outright flamed for it. You could at least say "Bones that was mean. Next time I post a thread I misewell dig into every 110 pages of threads here in the Story and Characters forum and look for every fan fic made before I get crucified for it.

I wont make polls again for a long time. That attitude right there makes members wanna leave. I was just having fun and so were Jfab and Evil Hat and I last night with who makes the best fan fics and this is the attitude I get. Allow me introduce you to Harbinger (http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=568797). Its a novel. Its eighty thousand, twenty two words. It would be the equivalent of a 320 paged novel. Let me introduce you to Darke, the first draft of a 140,000 word (current, nott final novel). It would be somewhere around 520 pages in a regular sized novel (7.5h X 5w).And there is so much more. The fan fics I write are long for fan fics. As whole stories theyre medium sized, most just under novellas (30,000 words...warpath was 21k (with edits) and Elysium was 19k (with edits and additions). The average novel is 90,000 words. They can range up to 240,000 words before a publisher says 'two volumes,' and can go as low as 55,000 words before it is considered a novella.

The basic breakdown of literature categories, by word count, is as follows:

Short Story: 5k-15k
Novella: 25k-50k
Novel- 55k- 240k
